Q: The arm extends but doesn't angle. Im afraid to force it. Is there a trick or should i force it?

It is built so that there are notches that allow for different angles. It isn't just one angle so you may need to push it a little.

Q: Can I use 2-3 of these to hold my sound bar? It weighs 4.2 lbs.

Honestly I would say it all depends on the weight of your sound bar. It does well with my Apple TV.

Q: Am I safe to assume that the tie down strips are long enough that will work with my 4x6 in mini Directv receiver?

It didn’t work as well as would have liked it to.

Q: Will it fit on a curved TV?

I don’t know why it would not fit! It is only 5 inches wide and there would be very little curve in this small distance. It is also adjustable for the thickness of the TV.
