I bought these to go with several tea sets I bought to give as favors for my Mom's 103 rd birthday party. I loved the tea sets but didn't like the spoons that came with it. These really went well and are quite substantial at a great price.

Nice little spoons. Got them a few days ago. I hope they don't tarnish or corrode like another buyer showed in their photos.I've attached a photo to this review. The spoon may be a deeper yellow in the photo than in-person. Its color tone is light and bright, more carnation yellow than sunflower yellow.The spoon tastes super smooth and round, like nothing but an exceptional nothing; it's as though my taste buds fell asleep but my tongue is still able to detect temperature and shape. Odd, but pleasant.

So I only got these because the guy (John Harrision) from the History channel's ice cream episode had one and made my ice cream tasting skills look inferior if only for a moment. THERE IS A FREAKING DIFFERENCE! There's no nasty metallic aftertaste that you (I) get if you lick the spoon. That's a hooray in my book. These are also (in my case) a good way to portion control because they're small and force you to savor every bite. So just buy them already. They were $10 for 4 spoons. Plus it puts an extra oomph on date night desserts...he he

I bought these to see if they made sweets taste any better. Different metals affect the tast of different foods. I do like them, they are just SO tiny. They would work well with decorative parties, like a fancy tea party, otherwise they are just really tiny to do anything else. I haven't put them in the dishwasher yet. Just too worried they wouldn't hold up with constant usage, so I just hand wash them.

I bought these to use as ice cream spoons, and they are great. When I first got them I used them every single day, and they really made a difference in regards to the taste of the ice cream. The only downside to getting these spoons is that now I can't really enjoy eating ice cream with any other type of spoon, other ones just give the ice cream a slightly different flavor that I do not care for. The spoons themselves are small, but a good size for eating a small bit of ice cream at a time.

Having read that ice cream tasters use gold spoons because they don't affect the flavor, I knew I had to have a set. I also really enjoy eating my ice cream with a tiny spoon. For years I fought with my children for their old baby spoons when the ice cream came out. So finding these at such a great price meant I was getting the best of both worlds.Honestly though, they're spoons. They have a beautiful gold finish. They work well for transporting the ice cream from dish to mouth. I'm sure someone else could manage to say more, but a spoon that does the job and is what I was after means it gets 4 stars. You add a fifth when the price is so great.

These are wonderful demi-spoons. The gold-plating not only gives them a classy hue, but it adds a slight sweetness to dairy. These are great for yogurt, fruit or desserts. Although small, the spoons are easy to handle and hold a dainty amount of food on them. Because they are dishwasher-safe, clean up is easy.
