This is necessary to charge up your car AC with 134 using the typical manifold and hoses that the HVAC techs carry. It was priced well and works. The key to remember is that the can adapter is specifically meant for the cans that are pierced. It is not meant for the ones where they also have a built in pressure valve (not schrader - but works like one). Those require that you depress the valve just so much and then you get gas.. I did not know this. Until I used this and then quickly realized the error. I still managed to finagle with it to make it work, but it was less than ideal. Destroyed the valve, but got refrigerant into the car! Later, I bought just that can fitting and use it with the other valve adapters that came with this.

Could be my fault but I couldn’t get in without a leak. Finally figured out the top part screws down to open valve. Never used this king before always just clipped on tight models. After that worked great.

The adapters work fine without leaks. The other fittings that come in the kit in addition to the schrader tool are a nice touch.However the adapter to pierce the r134a does not work on cans purchased from the auto store. I purchased one from there (another $10) and in comparing the two, the needle in this tool is too thin somehow not working effectively on self-sealing cans of r134a and pressurized pag lubricant.
