This steamer is perfect! I bought it to steam some soup dumplings I bought. It has 2 layers and can steam about 12 dumplings at a time. I soaked the bottom ring in water for 30 minutes to prevent any potential scorching of the wood.I love how it comes with this mesh insert to lay in as opposed to lettuce or ?It curls up a little between uses so I just rinse it off and lay it back in so it’s flat before I start cooking.Very well made! I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one if I needed it. Can’t beat the price either!

Works great , does what it should and was a reasonable price ..others were cheaper but seemed cheaper in the pictures.one thing I found was that because bamboo is a natural product I had to clean up some spots where the bamboo had sheared and I was stabbed by one them which was painful but if you've ever worked with wood .. splinters are going to happen.. I took a pair of nail clippers and tidied it up ... cleaned it then steamed it for about 20 minutes to rehydrate the bamboo and make sure it was clean. I used it for dim sum and worked great..

I don't know what happened to my old steamer, but I have a better one through Amazon. I love this bamboo steamer, I don't have to loose my nutrients when I'm steaming my food. It's just a better way to cook and prepare my meals.

Heat water in a big pot, load your steamer with whatever, and put on the pot. Ten minutes later....fantastic meal. Have used for fish several times, vegetables and Cantonese dumplings. Excellent time saver!

Traditional steamer and it comes with two piece of cloth for each tray. Good product and very reasonable price.

Very useful. You can steam a lot with this 2 tier basket. It fits perfectly on a 10 inch pot without having to purchase a metal ring.
