Fits Thetford Aqua-Magic V Perfectly
Important: Ordered the kit in April, 2022 and it does come with two seals (blade seal & closet flange). My Thetford model 31683 was not holding water in the toilet tank. It would leak out in less than 15 minutes. Research the web and found the proper procedure for removing the Blade seal. In almost all cases the toilet had to be removed to get to the blade seal. Removed the toilet and was surprised how easy it was (two bolts and a water supply line). I am glad I removed toilet because the model number of the toilet was not what I expected (model 31683), apparently someone had replaced the original toilet with this model. Went to the Thetford web site and found the kit 31708 and ordered it. Kit arrived in two days. Installation was very simple and took around 1 hour. Prior to installing kit I spent at least 2-3 hours cleaning the bathroom and toilet as best as I could. One word of advice, plumber's grease (silicon based) is a must. Grease both the closet flange and the blade seal completely and it will make installation much easier. After installing the blade seal tested seal by placing water in toilet tank and letting it stand for 30 minutes. Not a drop leaked, worked perfectly. Highly recommended and easy to install.

Correct for Aqua Magic V
Many others were recommended for my Aqua Magic V RV toilet repair for the flush ball gasket. All were not even close! Go to the Thetford web page and look up the "correct" number for the "V". 31708 is the correct number for the Aqua Magic V "Blade Seal". Cost me $60 in not correct fitting seals before I finally looked this up on the Thetford web page!

Yes, you have to take the toilet off. Plenty of videos, easier than I thought it would be. Fixed the leak causing the awful smell.

If you do it like this, don't drop the seal.
Excellent fit, no need to take the toilet off the floor. Just wear a tight fitting rubber glove and pull the old seal out with the flush flap open. Fit new seal, all done. Took five minutes. Steve.

Got the shitter going again
Product was great. It was easy to remove the commode and worked on it outside the rv. And mine did come with the floor seal which was a pleasant surprise. The toilet design is odd. On the Aqua Magic 5 you have to go inside the Hershey Highway underneath to chance the seal. While putting pressure on the flusher so you don’t lose fingers on the blade valve. Takes your appetite away for a couple days but well worth it. The shitter now holds water in the bowl and no more manure smells inside the casa! We can now light our bong without fear of a 2 kiloton blast in Aunt Nellie’s Rv Park!
