Magellan Cyclo Bike Mount

Useful, but Stupidly Expensive
This mounting option is stupidly expensive, but less stupidly expensive than the "Out Front" model. That said, I bought one because I've got three bikes I use all the time, and the Magellan Cyclo 505 I bought came with only one Out Front and one Zip-Tie mount. The mount works fine on the narrower diameter handlebar tubing on my Miyata 610 and Bridgestone MB-4 bikes, although the four-piece approach to attachment strikes me as unnecessarily complicated. The price is why I've rated the mount Three (It's Okay) versus Five (I Love It) Stars. At five dollars, I would have rated the mount Five Stars. Doubtless some self-appointed reviewer purist will police this review and declare I should be reviewing the item purchased, as opposed to the item's purchase price. Try to remain calm. Item price and utility may be considered together, because I said so.If you don't absolutely need an additional mount, the GPS unit will function just fine from a pocket - jersey or jacket, although the touchscreen may respond if bumped while in the pocket, and that will irk.

Good choice for adding a Cyclo mount to a second bike.
Good choice for adding a Cyclo mount to a second bike. Easy to install. My only problem was with the nature of the Magellan Cyclo mounting system - learning how to attach the Cyclo was a little confusing the first time and I had to cut off the mount and re-install it rotated 90 degrees to get the correct orientation for the Cyclo. Since then I have had no problems attaching the Cyclo and it has never come loose when I didn't want it to.

Works for its intended purpose.
Works to hold cyclo computer. Over rough roads the computer falls to one side which can get annoying.
