Warning do not purchase
This is a scam item. Does not work. Xfinity was not able to provision (connect) the unit because its MAC Id Number was still registered with the previous owner! Now I’m inconvenienced by having to look for another unit. Stay away.

Xfinity was unable to activate the unit and scheduled a home service. I contacted Arris customer service. All I can say is their tech support is terrible and useless. I decided to return this unit for a refund. Xfinity did question why I purchased this model when there are newer model with the latest tech.

Can't Use! Modem Still Connected to Another Account.
I'm working with Xfinity to connect the Arris Model SBV3202 I just received from EternityWireless through Amazon.Xfinity said:"I can see here though that the modem you want to use is still registered to a different Account and it is still active. We won't be able to remove it from there unless it is up for disconnection."Please "disconnect" this modem from the other account? If not then I will need to return this ASAP. Before I purchased this item, we've already had a 8-months-long ordeal on this issue (with AT&T and Xfinity) so we are already way beyond annoyed at this point. This is simply unsat and needs to be resolved ASAP. I will update this review if/when things change.

We upgraded our VOIP modem for this model just to be able to have the gigabit direct connection. Its blazing fast now.

Works great!
I was a little wary of buying a refurbished cable modem, because I've heard of some previously used equipment MACs still registered to the previous owner. The item arrived, perfect condition. No problems hooking it up. Didn't even have to call Comcast, which was amazing. It looks brand new to me, but saved a little money. Thanks!
