Great for the price and easy set up
I needed something fast and easy to light up a dark wall in a small Florida townhouse; this lighted movie poster frame worked perfectly. I bought the rights to use a photo online and had it made into a backlit poster at Poster Print Shop online. I cut one side of the poster so it would fit in the frame, removed the protective cover from the plastic and carefully placed the poster in the frame while it was on the wall. The hardest part was getting the frame level so I could screw it to the wall through the holes in the frame. I just ordered a paintable cover for the cord so it will fade into the background. Overall, it looks pretty good and lights up a dark area. The led background lights don't show up near as much in person as they do in the photos.

The review you've been waiting for
Just the facts folks. Would I buy again, yes, but I'm not sure people understand the compromises. There are 2 types of movie posters, 2-sided and 1-sided. 2-sided is what the theaters have, as the name suggests, the image is printed on both sides (inverted on the back) so when light passes through, it passes through two layers of colors giving an HD look. As expected 2-sided is more expensive and majority of "cheaper" posters are 1-sided. Those don't look so good in lighted panels.Real movie posters are 27x40". These are 24x33". As seen in PICTURE #1 and PICTURE #2, you will need to trim them to fit. Not too difficult, a new razor blade is a must. There's a plexiglass cover for the poster with these. I put some spare cardboard on the table, the poster over that and the plexiglass over that. I used the plexiglass as a template and decided how best to trim to get the best compromise. You can see the finished trim in PICTURE #3.However, these have a frame which are spring hinged, meaning, the plexiglass is larger than the visible area when the frame rails are snapped into their locked position. You loose 5/8" from each side. As you can see in PICTURE #4 and PICTURE #5, some of the text is hidden under the frame. You just have to plan for it and although you trim to the size of the plexiglass, you have to account for an addition 5/8" loss all around. The back of the frames have two main mounting options. You have the typical wall hangers. Easy to do, but you will see them hanging. The other option are pre-drilled holes under the trim hinge. You lift the trim on the hinge and underneath are the pre-drilled holes you can then screw into your surface. The REDSTRIPE is 2-sided tape but I don't recommend trying to "HANG" using tape only. If you use the pre-drilled holes, the frame doesn't like to fully rest flat on the wall (the bottom pops out a bit). Remove some the tape and firmly press the bottom against the wall solves this.In finale, PICTURE #7 is the final product. I could have tried to fish the wires behind the pictures however there were several studs and firebreaks behind the drywall to make that just not worth the effort. Everyone has their compromises. I wired all the posters inline (parallel for those interested) and connected to my wall switch. BTW, these aren't dimmable, just on/off.The hinged frames are really nice. The light they give off is just right. 2-sided posters look amazing and no power adapters needed, they wire directly into 110/120v AC. (BTW, Brown is Line and Blue is Neutral for those folks inclined for the wiring in the frame). Also, I'm pretty sure a FULL SIZE movie poster, especially 6, would have been too much for my area, hence the trimmed poster and these size frames fit perfect for my home. If you have standard walls, I highly recommend. If you have a 10 million dollar home, you probably won't be reading this.Side not, I ordered 7, one came completely demolished. Going to see how the seller handles exchanges, might update my review later on that one.

Couldn't ask for better for the price...
These are great frames. My only three minor gripes are that you can see some light bleed through in the corners of the frame, the power cords are black (I think most would prefer white due to wall colors) and the clear plastic front portion of the frame was cut too small on one of my frames. Please don't get me wrong, these are minor complaints and I am very happy with my frames. Just make sure you get double sided posters (like I have in the photos) or the light will bleed through washing out the poster).

Great Frame, Needs Instructions (How to Open)
At this price you can't beat it, and easily overlook the lack of light control. With no instructions and no easy answer to find: It is magnetic (sorta) doesn't open like you'd expect. (1) Lay the frame out on the floor, view side/Glass Side facing up (2) You'll open each pane, there are 4 of them, one at a time! Lift each pane up and towards you. You'll get the idea once you get one open, but just use your fingers to snap each pane open from where it curves downward towards the frame itself (not the outside) it will snap right open. If you feel like you've broken something your probably haven't. I had one pane pop out the 3 magnets which are easily placed right back inside.

Excellent for the price.
These are great! I purchased 4 for my husbands theater room. They look great. Posters were so easy to put in. I still need to hang them up.They came packaged well.I cut the posters I found to fit better.I wish the hanging hooks were more hidden. Otherwise, I’m very excited about these.

it lasted 26 months and the lights went out.
We were very happy with it until the lights went out completely yesterday. Nobody has touched it since its installation and it had been working fine for 26 months. I thought LED lights would almost last forever, but obviously, this one didn't.There are not any other choice on the market. So we may have to leave the poster dark for a while
