Spoiler: It works... with my advice for charging and screen protection.
Sum: It's good. If you don't like a weighty phone/phone case, this product isn't for you. If you can look past that, then the this'll be one of the best phone accessory investments you'll probably ever make.Spoiler: IT WORKS! I was going to save the battery life till the end, but before you read all of the categories, just know that the basic necessity of this product is fulfilled. My phone is going on about 18 hours of use (bluetooth, 1+ hour of music streaming, group messaging, 2+ hours of YouTube) and it's just now reaching 42%. It's a bit weird getting used to seeing 19% remaining and not having to freak out. I have to pretty much almost triple the time that my phone would normally have left at 19%. Now, onto the specifics!Design: The cover and case design is deceivingly cheap. This can often be a bad thing, but this time, it isn't. The protruding back cover is a piano black hard plastic. It feels cheap when apart from the phone. Once it's on there, however, it looks much better(kinda like the Note 3 faux leather back). WARNING: IT'S A HUGE FINGERPRINT MAGNET! For this reason, I've opted to keep the case on it. The case has this nice semi rugged look to it. Nothing fancy or eye-catching, but definitely not bland.Comfort/Function: The case has a matted hexagonal pattern for a well-needed grip since the phone will be noticeably heavier with the larger battery. It slims down towards the back for easier handling. Two hand texting is rather comfortable because of the way the sides contour. The case is minimalist, however, it's far better than many of the other extended battery case options out there. The case is honestly the main reason why I finally bought this product. This case feels just as secure as the other minimalist case I had on there. It's by no means an Otterbox, but the case extends just enough past the screen to protect it. I personally recommend getting this with tempered glass on your screen. It's a much slimmer alternative than putting an Otterbox-sized case on there due to anxiety over a shattered screen.Cons:1. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A FAST CHARGER! This isn't something that blame the product or manufacturer for. I've gone through a few of the USB 3.0 chargers that the Note 3 comes with. They're far too fragile, and I don't have money or patience for replacing them after a few months. That being said, if this is an issue of yours, and you're using a normal micro USB cable, then make sure you give your phone ample time to charge after you put the extended battery in there. It took me about 7 hours to go from 20% to 99%. I'm looking to make a USB 3.0 purchase soon (after this review).2. IT'S HEAVIER! Once again, I don't mind it so much. The only con is that one handed comfort has gone down. If you have a habit of putting your pinky under the phone when holding it with one hand, then you'll either have to drop the habit or get used to sore pinkies. It's uncomfortable after about 15 minutes.Overall: Great product! Does exactly what it says with no issue so far! I've only owned it for about 20 hours, so this is a fresh review. I'll update in 3 months or if anything goes wrong before then.

I realized I like seeing long term user reviews
I bought this about a year and half ago. I realized I like seeing long term user reviews, so I'm putting my money where my mouth is. I rated it five stars because it does what it claims to do (if people are reading this, that is how you rate a product. It screws up the whole system if you say, great! and then give three stars, or use some subjective rating criteria of your own. But I digress). I can still get a day and half of heavy use: web surfing, listening to podcasts and music nonstop through bluetooth, email, a few calls, etc., if not a little more. Two days or more with lighter use. Have I had a few days of weird charging or seemingly quick battery loss? Sure. I think that happens with all batteries. Also smart phones are complicated computers and we just don't know what's going on in there. I use the original charging cable and I always turn the phone off first to charge. I can't remember having any issues in the last 6 months or more. And when I did have issues they were just blips in the scheme of things. The case isn't bad, but it is way too slick. I'm actually surprised they haven't come up with a better case - and more case options. They would probably be able to increase their business if they offered a selection of well-made cases in different materials. I covered mine in a grippy material, but it's not ideal and is coming off a little at a time. That is my biggest gripe. Oh, I will say, it makes your phone a bit of brick, but I don't notice - until I drop it. I always cringe a little more than I would with a normal battery. That being said, I've dropped it on the concrete shop floor a number of times. The glass screen protector I installed from another vendor cracked - the way it's supposed to - but everything is still running fine. I'm not sure if the plastic one they include will work as well as a glass one, but that is conjecture. A glass screen protector has saved my screen more than a few times. Hope this helps some people.- CheersEdit: After more than 2 years (now I can't remember when I bought this) and heavy use, this battery will still last a full day, but it seems to be finally losing juice faster and it's time for a new one.2-1-2020 This new one was only $12.99. I was dubious about the directions instructing me to run the battery all the way down at least twice to "calibrate" the battery because everything I've ever heard about lithium ion batteries warns against that, but I did it. I've been getting 2 plus days worth of charge so far. Very happy with the service, price, and performance. If I remember, I will continue to update this review.
