BTMETER BT-770K Auto Ranging Automotive Multimeter for Dwell Angle Pulse Width Tach Temperature Duty Cycle Voltage Current Resistance Test

I love this meter. Does everything, I Purchased for the Dwell feature as my old school dwell meter broke and I work on old cars.

Meter arrived as expected, Instructions are adequate. I found it particularly handy as a one do it all meter for trouble shooting older points and condenser with coil ignition systems used on rolling vehicles up until late 70's and late 80's for marine applications. I would recommend it as a good instrument as to functionality after using it for a week now. Packaged with leads and adapter clips (very convenient) and temperature probes in a better than average case.There are also two accessory leads available. The induction pickup coil should be included in the base package. That would make it 100% effective as a diagnostic tool. That is the only short fall for my intended use.Physically it appears to be a robust case. Accuracy is as advertized or better. Time will tell as to durability

Alligator ends are a bit cheesy, had to squeeze tighter where pointed lead ends insert. Resistance readings take a moment to stabilize on potentiometer movement, tends to overshoot. This happens with my other meters. Just have to be patient to avoid mistakes. Accuracy is passable when testing known good auto parts, where extreme precision is not required. If you need that, spend more.

Good multi tool. I use it daily.

The meter was easy to hookup and use for checking the dwell on my old points distributor. I have not used the other functions yet but I suspect they will work well too.

I've used it only a few times and now is dead. Over the weekend I was using it to check continuity and evidentially let it go to auto shut off, or maybe it just decided to stop, because now I get nothing. I've checked the battery and the two fuses and everything checks out. Don't waste your time or money.I will also comment that this meter felt very cheap compared to my other meter that I've had for nearly 10 years now. The selector switch on this one doesn't have a very solid feel. The detents are not positive.Unfortunately my old meter doesn't have some of the features this one has.

For cheap meter it works ok. As for the rpm pick up , that is junk. The temp gauge works but -/+ 5 DegreesThe rest of the meter seems ok for troubleshooting basic electrical issues.

I would buy from this seller again. The product is just as described and excellent quality, Above all the good operation.
