Mine turned teal well after the 72 hours. It was yellow up until day 4. Is this normal?

That is unusual but possible at low incubation temperatures and/or with very low concentrations of bacteria - CFU's (colony forming units). I have a UV filter and my test turned blue. Does this test detect “dead” bacteria or is my filter not working?

I suspect your filter is not working. When we installed a UV filter, the test showed negative for bacteria after showing the presence of bacteria before we put in the filter.

Does this kit include a positive control?

It does not contain any additional testing materials. It's simply not cost effective to do so (no affordable for the consumer). How many kinds of bacteria can it detect? can it dedect pseudomonas, aeromonas, salmonella, shigella, enterobacter, klebsiella?
