Spyderco C166P Equilibrium Stainless Steel Plain Edge Knife

This is a small, smooth, well functioning light use knife. The cutting surface is very small, but the choil allows you a lot of control on small precision cuts (boxes/letters) and I serves its purpose well.Lockup is around 60% and solid in all directions.Blade slightly favors the show side, but it is not bad.Usually ugly factory Spyderco sharpening.Knife has a lot of personality and is very friendly looking. Nice weight, great pocket clip.Buy one.

Great company and this is my second Equilibrium. I lost the first but after owning it I could only replace it with the same model. Fits in the hand well and works for most situations. Unfortunatly it's discontinued, get one while you can.

Disappointed. Quality Spyderco material but I found that the choil to hold the knife at the blade is a bit of a nuisance. It's a very small blade and that makes it more of an issue. A rope can get caught in that choil as a typical cut needs that blade length at the choil to complete it. The shape of the blade is a bit awkward. Seems like it would be good to slice carrots or parsley. But not as good opening a box or cutting a paper.It seems like the stainless will scratch easily and badly. I went with the Squeek where all my issues were answered.

I don't actually carry this knife often at all. But I love showing it to people. The design is so cool! Symmetry brings me joy!
