You should know that even though the description calls this a USB air cooler, it does not have a USB connection and can only be used when plugged into a wall. So yes, it's portable, so long as there's an outlet available. We planned to use it on our boat, so it's been returned.

I went ahead and tried this sucker after reading quite a few positive reviews about how cool the air from this thing was. I have to say I don’t think it was a well spent 65 bucks. The air is no cooler than that of a fan. I’ve tried ice , water, ice water, the air doesn’t get very cool despite the nice looking mist that looks to be coming from the machine. The lights are fun. But i didn’t want a fan with an exciting light show . You’re probably better off buying a nice fan and sticking a bucket of ice in front of it. That produces colder air in my second floor apartment than this “air conditioner”

I have a small USB powered desk fan that diameter of a typical marker (3.5" blades?). My 2 speed fan delivers 10%+ more comfort than this unit and my fan is quieter and I'm guessing more energy efficient.What you are buying is the equivalent of a slow car with a fancy body kit and stickers and aggressive body kit and Neon lights. It LOOKS fancy and is certainly more attention getting, however a non-flashy car with a tuned engine, will be faster.It sounds like a noisy computer fan IF you had your ears a foot away or CLOSER. Less airflow than my tiny desk fan. Air feels no cooler to me. Again, it LOOKS cooler than it is. You have the fancy lights and you put WATER in it and it's CALLED AC AND there is a visible cold air LOOKING mist coming out of it. All theatrics. I guessing enough people are falling for the placebo effect and are not doing a side by side comparison to a fan (because, the air IS cool...BUT NOT coolER than a normal fan; you MUST compare it to a fan to see that it's not doing anything worthwhile.I would go as far as to say, this is really a fancy multi color light WITH a fan included. The water may just be a medium for the light and the fan is just an EXTRA feature but not the primary function. Save your money and buy a good desk fan. Perhaps find a god desk fan with similar LIGHT gimmicks if you want fancy lights. It MIGHT function as a BASIC humidifier perhaps, but cooling is NOT a primary feature here.Again...forget the word AC. This is a FAN. Plain and simple. I'm returning it right now. Just got it today and let it run for an hour. Right back to Amazon it goes.

I was first disappointed that the wind was kind of small, but then I know there was three level and I try the third level it was very cool, just like a air conditioner. When I sleep I feel very comfortable. It is also easy to use and carry in rooms. Also in night there will be light and it was very beautiful!

I was hoping that this unit might save me from the 100 degree Fahrenheit plus weather, but it actually operates more like a humidifier. Which is the only reason I'm keeping it and not returning it. It may NOT keep me cool, but it at lease provides moisture in the dry heat where I live.DOES IT COOL A ROOM?- No! You need to be at max 2 feet from the unit to feel the air. Even on my nightstand I do not feel the air. Can just see the vapor it emits. Even with my door closed it made no change.IS THE AIR COOL?- Hardly, I've tried with and without ice. With and without water, and a combination of the two. The results were just a vapor. Felt no cool air.IS IT QUIET?- No! It is quite loud for a small fan. It's just as loud as a bathroom vent fan.ADDITIONAL CONS:- The light feature changes fast, so it's not relaxing. More like a strobe light.- If you want to turn the light off you have to turn off the whole unit. Once you turn on the light, the light button only allows you to cycle through the colors.- There is a door to add water or ice, however, the small opening made it impossible to add water or ice. I have to open up the entire unit if I wanted to add water or ice. Which takes a balancing act since the unit is top heavy. Would have been nice if the opening was larger or it came with a special pouring vessel like irons do.

yes, it's a nice little fan with a cooling option (blowing over cold water). i am energy conscious, so it bothers me that when it's off, there are two lights that stay on, one green one on the power supply and one flashing red one on the power button. this means to really turn it off, so it doesn't draw electricity 24/7, you have to unplug it. my hottest room is my bedroom, so trying to sleep with the flashing red light is difficult. also, the symbols on the buttons are black on black, which makes them unreadable. they light up when you press them, so only after randomly pressing do you realize what function you've activated. the little manual has type so small you need a magnifier to read it.

Product does not air condition and barely blows air even with ice. It just humidifies. Very disappointed. Read the close to 400 reviews on this product, which were not shown when I bought 2 of them. They were returned immediately!!!
