16" Style Solid Fuel Coal Fire Grate Set

Great piece of kit definitely dose the job and looks great starting to use a lot know

Arrived quickly. Quite good quality for the price. Looks good. Only complaint is front of grate has little base support so it easily falls forward if coals/wood move and push forward or even if it's knocked which of course is unsafe. Design fault which could easily have been thought out better using slightly wider "feet". We have had to support from front. We are using but looking for one of better design.

I complained about the grate burning through months ago. I never heard anything back.It seems it was only meant for show !!!! Some people still have coal fires as there only way of heating the home. When I first put an order in for it, this time last year,the item that came was a companion set, so I had to send that back. That was confusing, as I was sending an item back that was different to what the invoice stated. Perhaps Debrett Fires Ltd should make it clearer that their fire grate sets wont take the heat from burning coal. I certainly wont be ordering from them again.

Bought this as a replacement for our Open Fire, it fitted well and is free standing so drilling the fire place to hold the basket the only down side is that it it not a "heavy" as the old grate but it was old,delivery was prompt and was safely packaged

Much cheaper than bought at the local hardware shop ! A good basic Grate set - ash pan a bit flimsy but otherwise no complaints. Liked the option of brass or chrome trim - nice touch.

Looks lovely, not sure the paint will hold up under heat as it seemed a little flakey but great for the price.

The item is solid cast iron. It has a nice heavy feel giving an impression of quality. I've personally had the same item in the past and it lasted for over 5 years. I use my coal fire none stop through the winter. So the last one was really well used. This is a really good item and I'am pleased that this set is still available. It comes with everything you need and doesn't look too old fashioned like many others.

Looked round shops, got an idea of style,type required.bought product from you online based on size requirements and photo example.Product was badly photographed/misrepresented and simply not in general terms as big as the products available for the same job,size and fitting space available in shops.misrepresentation?.............you tell me.too busy to take you to court.
