BEST CROCKPOT EVER!
Best Crockpot EVER! My husband and I are at a point in our lives now where we've made very good use of the things that were first given to us when we were married. It's been over 15 years now and we are ready and slowly starting to upgrade everything from big to small.I have 2 crock pots. One was an older one that was first given to us and it was a nice size one. Another one is a smaller one that was my grandmother's that she used all the time that I most likely will never part with because of the sentiment and it works great. A co-worker recently has been going through a hard time with the divorce and he has to start over. He needed a lot of things that we happen to have. Not only did I use this as an opportunity to be able to help somebody who needed something that I have but I also use the opportunity to upgrade as well. I gave him my old Crock-Pot and order this one because the cooking I do mostly involves my Crockpot to travel which means the handles on the sides and the clip lid where exactly what I was looking for and needed. My old Crock-Pot didn't have any of that it was just basic and made traveling with it very difficult but we made do.I couldn't help myself, I had to break it in when I got it yesterday. The size is amazing and the non-stick,smooth ceramic finish on the inside is beautiful and it was incredibly easy to clean! I cooked a Crock-Pot creamy mac and cheese and it came out extraordinary! It Cooks fast even on a low setting so you can use the low setting and still be fine much like my old one did. I'm not into fancy crock pots that you can program so I do enjoy the manual feature and the ability to be able to pick the high and low speeds on my own.So it Cooks fast. The handles are sturdy and excellent, and I love the clip top lid! I also purchased the thermal carrier that it goes in so moving forward not only can I now make something that we can travel with because of these features, we can put them in the carrying case and I'll make it even more better! My husband is also extremely happy about this purchase because he's normally the one who has to bring it because it's normally for all of his work events! I would definitely recommend this crock pot you will not be disappointed it's excellent quality!

Excellent, reliable, product ~~ it's a "real KEEPER"
Ordered this because of the lid-locking feature (for transport only... do NOT cook with the lid locked). After reading countless, endless, customer reviews about the issues with the programmable slow cookers, decided to just get the "plain vanilla" slow cooker. Made billiard ball size authentic Swedish meatballs that I browned in a skillet & finished cooking 3/4 of the way in the oven in advance of Christmas dinner then refrigerated them. Used this excellent slow cooker to put the sauce and meat together and have everything ready for the family guests without feeling frazzled. The Crock pot heated up perfectly and cooked the meat and sauce to perfection. When turned down to "keep warm", it maintained a safe temperature. If you're a smart cook, you will not choose the programmable slow cooker either due to too many reports of the device shutting itself off before the food is cooked and also overheating to the point of boiling.UPDATE: 10 JANUARY 2015: Am very happy with the quality and function of this excellent SLOW COOKER. To those who complained that it gets too hot, even to the point of boiling, you probably had the lid completely latched. That action would definitely cause that issue. Try reading the instructions because they specifically instruct the customer that the lid should not be latched except for TRANSPORT. I just made the best homemade vegetable soup in my life today with this product and it came out perfectly cooked and delicious. Used some of the leftover skinless turkey breast along with a variety of vegetables. I'm a person who cannot stand eating spinach nor chard but was reading about the health benefits of adding KALE to the diet so I carefully removed all the stems and just put two cups of the hand-torn kale leaves in toward the last 45 minutes of cooking, along with the zucchini slices (both are soft-cooking types). The bottom line of using this excellent slow cooker is: when things appear to "fail", read the instructions. ;)

Good quality works well.
This crockpot, has a ceramic insert with a locking lid or portability.Crockpot has actually two settings as opposed to three if I can explain. It appears there is a low and the high setting. But the warm setting is much lower and is not a medium. That's my mistake for not reading the overall description. As I relied on my last crockpot that had a low, medium and high. So keep in mind, the warm setting does not heat up enough to cook. The quality seems adequate, for what you expect on home appliances today. Is nothing bill like the way they used to be. However it seems like this one will work for several years. However the last crock pot I had lasted 20.The top lid has a rubber seal, that makes me also wonder how many years of use one can do before the seal no longer works. I still gave it a five star rating, because it does what it's supposed to do. I placed two frozen chicken breasts on high and within four hours, approximately 2 pounds of chicken were cooked thoroughly. So I that works as it should. I am also liking the oval shape over a round shape, which may be helpful for those wanting to put larger along. Pieces of meat into the crockpot itself. As normally a round crockpot you have to cut the pieces into smaller chunks to fit elongated.I have been using the crockpot now several weeks and it seems to do exactly what it should, keep in mind you will find a quality like you used to. But it does what it's supposed to do and looks attractive in the kitchen.
