Clover 7811 Hot Ruler Press Perfect

This is an great hem prepping tool. Much easier than using a tiny metal ruler with a slide. Markings are up the ruler in both directions and have an aid for mitered corners. Very thin & lightweight. It saves a lot of time and effort to fold & press prep a hem. A must have sewing tool. This ruler has the most markings for versatile use compared to similar ones.

If you like to do Stutch and Flip on your quilting block is, try this ruler. It never heats up and it pretty accurate and leaves a nice sharp line.

The hot ruler press makes it really easy to be sure your hem is even all the way around. It gets warm and even flexes with the heat from the iron. This hot ruler press makes everything so much easier to line up and get perfect which is great for your normal seamstress. My only complaint is that i wish the material the hot ruler press was made from was just a little sturdier. The price of this is really exactly what it is worth I would even venture to say they could charge a little more and it would still be one hundred percent worth every single tiny penny you spend on it. I will definitely put this not only on my must have list for all new sewers but also recommend it to every single one of my friends who ever have any interest in sewing not only quilts but also clothing. I am also in several groups in Facebook that have to do with sewing and I will be sharing this item there for sure I may even purchase the smaller companion version. Overall this hot press ruler is a great addition to every seamstress's sewing room not just new sewers but experienced ones alike and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who sews.

This item has several disadvantages. It is only made of a kind of cardboard. I think, I could have made it myself. Furthermore, it tends to collect fuzz, which gets on my nerves. On top of that it does not work properly, especially when you try to make a small hem. Because of its structur you hardly can adjust it, while you are ironing the fabric. That means it makes only sens when you have an absolutely straight hem. One more thing: it is a little bit to thick, so you have to iron one more time once you have removed the item. Otherwise the crease will not be flat enough. I shouldn't habe bought it. And it's much to expensive. Das war ein Fehlkauf. Das Lineal besteht nur aus einer Art Pappe. Aus der Rückseite eines Zeichenblocks könnte man so etwas leicht selber machen. Außerdem zieht es Fusseln an. Der größte Nachteil ist, dass man während des Bügelns den Stoff kaum noch justieren kann, d.h. es macht eigentlich nur Sinn, wenn der Saum sehr gerade ist und perfekt ausgeschnitten ist. Nur bei sehr breitem Saum ist es mir überhaupt von Nutzen. Außerdem ist es ein wenig zu dick, so dass ich für eine gute Bügelfalte noch einmal nachbügeln muss. Dass es nur in Inch ist, war leider nicht erwähnt, damit habe ich aber gerechnet. Es ist auf jeden Fall viel zu teuer.

Pendant des années, j'ai utilisé un carton pour repasser les ourlets avec un fer sans vapeur, et les résultats n'étaient pas toujours à mon goût. J'ai acheté deux règles, la règle droite 7811 et la règle courbe 7806. Il est beaucoup plus facile de presser les ourlets avec ces règles, car les mesures sont directement indiquées dessus. La surface antidérapante maintient certains tissus en place, mais pas les tissus glissants (ce qui est normal). J'ai réussi à presser les coins pour qu'ils soient parfaitement ronds et réguliers. J'ai toujours dit que lorsqu'on dispose des bons outils, on peut faire des miracles. On ne se trompe pas avec les produits Clover fabriqués au Japon.
