Level Headed Tour Rehearsals 1977

Unbelievably great! These rehearsals sound so good! There is also a looseness & a bit of levity here & there. Relaxed vibe, but at the same time they had great energy. What a fantastic band. I highly recommend this to any rock fan. As for Sweet fans, they focus on mostly the 1978 album, for this tour & their own earlier compositions. All of the early Cinn/Chapman bubblegum stuff is absent. A true testament to Brian's great singing, as well.

Every song a classic A MUST have for the Sweet Fan

i was very happy when i read the press release for this cd a couple of months ago, now that i have it, this cd is just about everything i excpected from the stuff andy is now licensing off to angel air records, anyway as far as the sweet went this was sadly the last of there best years as i felt arfter 1978 a lot changed, this cd consists of demo tour rehearsals that where recorded while the band where in wales preparing to hit the road for the last classic sweet record level headed, anyway these demos are very well done and have been very well preserved, i think most old school sweet fans will really like this collection a lot as the magic had not died off yet, these demos sound very fresh, heavy, poppy and spot on as was expected by sweet fans in these days, the run of tracks are very good as im sure you can see in the press release and it was a pleasure to buy this cd, also the remastering is fantastic here and the booklet that was done for this release gives you all the information regarding the recording process of these tour rehearsals, this was done back in the days when bands like the sweet would rent out a big mansions and either write new songs, rehearse or record new albums with a mobil until, deep purple, rainbow, sabbath, zeppelin and many many others all did that in the 70s so why not sweet?? also the booklet comes with some great photos from these sessions and im sure it will not dissapoint any sweet fans, the sweet where unique back in the late 70s at this time as they seemed to be not only embraced by the typical glam rock fans of the time but i remember a lot of hard rock and metal fans where into sweet at this time as well as even punk rockers, they sure had a broad audience , hopefully we can hear more stuff like this in the future from earlier early to mid 70s sweet rehearsals................................

I am so glad to hear this cd.on the record and give us a wink were arguably sweet at their best. this is truly a treat to hear for the die hard fan or anybody really.awsome!

The audio quality of the recording the 4 pc harmonies, musicianship the songs EVERYTHING about it!!!!! :).

Et à défaut d'un véritable Live de la dernière tournée des Sweet avec Brian Connolly, voici donc la séance de répétition. Le son est bon, le mixage aurait pu être mieux mais bon, on fait avec. Les fans adoreront, ceux qui sont de passage chercheront plutôt une bonne compilation.

This recording has been remastered and is very good i heard a bootleg copy of these rehearsals many years ago and this release is a great improvement,there are a few gems on here like stairway to the stars and dream on but wait till the finale when the band really hots up with brian on great form set me free,sweet fa and windy city are fantastic,yes a last time to hear the classic 4 piece line up and it was well worth the wait.

Meine Rezension bezieht sich auf die jetzt im Mai 22 erschienene MP3- Version zur Picture- Disc.Wie die Pressung der neuen Picture- Disc gelungen ist, kann ich nicht sagen, da ich diese aktuell nicht öffne oder abspiele.Der exklusiv bei Amazon über Autorip erhältliche MP3- Download mit insgesamt 16 Songs ist eine Wucht für einen Sweet- Fan. Alle Titel live gespielt, sehr gut während der Proben aufgenommen und professionell abgespeichert und sortiert. Ein Meilenstein, denn hier hört man, was die Band in ihrem Zusammenspiel technisch und musikalisch simultan drauf hat: echter Rock ohne künstliche Einlagen. Wer an der Gesangsqualität von Brian Connolly während der Live- Konzerte herummeckert, hat bei diesen Rehearsals (Proben- Aufnahmen) kaum etwas zu beanstanden. Insgesamt ein sehr zu empfehlendes Album der Band The Sweet: alles LIVE, ein exzellenter letzter Rückblick auf das letzte gemeinsame Album Level Headed und die Tour dazu. 45 Jahre nach diesen Rehearsals von 1977 ein helles glücklich machendes letztes Originalalbum von Andy, Brian, Mick und Steve: LIVE & ALIVE.
