Used these bags for an obstacle course and they did amazing! They didn’t smell weird, thickness was as expected for a burlap sack. Color was perfect and the quality makes them versatile for future uses. Definitely good price!

Love these gunny sacks for racing. The kids had so much fun at our reunion. Held up very nice and they’ll last for the next event. Love the faint color & they didn’t have an odd smell. Perfect for all ages, roll the top down for the littles. The extra things that came with it, I was not expecting but was greatly appreciated.

Good quality, durable fabric. Perfect for sack races as the size was appropriate and have also used successfully as shade cloth in my small greenhouse.

Our local feed store ran out. We found these on amazon for slightly less per sack, buying in bulk. The stitching isn't quite as tight or neat, but for our application (and probably most others) that doesn't matter. If anything the looser weave may help them last longer, as arrows are less likely to cut a strand than displace it.How to make: Just save up your plastic bags and similar plastic from discarded packaging for however long it takes, pack it in tight and sew up the top with some string or twine. The end result will stop an arrow from a 50 pound draw bow at the least (we haven't tried it with anything stronger). These targets seem to hold up longer than bales of straw, and once you get too many holes in one, just slip the whole thing into a fresh sack - good as new. We hang an old trampoline mat behind the targets, to catch stray arrows. I found spray-painting the bullseye after the sack is filled to work a little better, as it paints the interior plastic too, not just the sack. The sack on left was painted before stuffing. The sack on left is from this order; the sack on right is from local farm supply. As you can see there's not too dramatic a difference in quality, despite these being considerably cheaper on amazon.

Me & my friends had a blast using these! I do wish they were a little more heavy duty because we definitely ripped a whole in 2/3 but we are adults so maybe that’s why.

I actually bought these to make a Halloween costume (for an adult), but figured that with the extras, I could actually use them for a potato sack race. People have mentioned the smell. I took them out to air out, but I could barely smell anything when I opened the package. It's not an unexpected smell and not horrible at all. The seams are really well done, the weave is pretty tight, and the material is pretty thick. I haven't actually used one in a potato sack race, but they are well made.

I was pleased with the quality of the material used. Much heavier than any other burlap bag I've purchased.
