Moultrie Mobile 6000 Cellular Trail Camera

Not sure what happened, so have reached out to Moultrie. I'll update this review if Moultrie has good customer service and gets back to me and fixes my problems here by either providing a new camera or new batteries to try first before a new camera. But, I purchased three Moultrie Mobile XA-6000 Cellular Trail Camera's from Amazon a few weeks ago, and then also purchased the Moultrie AA Batteries to go with them. One of the cameras will not connect even in a place with a strong signal where the other two connect. And, that camera and the batteries died in 2 weeks with only 200 pics taken. The other two have taken around 300 pics each and the batteries are around 82% left after two weeks, and they only get reception in the 30-50% range. So, bad camera...bad battery pack? Either way, it says the batteries last 14,000-20,000 pics, so should never die after 200 pictures after two weeks only! The camera itself is nice when it works. Not good picture quality at all...hard to see what some bucks' horns actually look like. Shutter time at .9 is slow so misses some headshots of deer. But, for a cheap cell camera it does the basics okay. The app doesn't work great as sometimes pictures don't show up in the folder or even deleted folder once deleted. But, the app is nice for the features you can change. At one point I switched the camera, via the app, to video mode, and then when I put it back to photo mode so I could be sent pics again, it didn't connect so I had to have my parents go to the camera and reconnect it (I live in a different state than where the camera is...so if they weren't there I would have been screwed).

This is a great cellular game camera I got to set it up today and am already getting pics. Set-up was easy and very quick. I really like the look of the camera. Hangs easy and the included strap is long enough to actually get around a decent sized tree, which I have had issues with for other cameras. Getting set up and into the app was really easy and made set-up a snap. I initially had an issue getting my password to work logging in to Moultrie Mobil, but call to customer service quickly resolved the issue. Lady I talked to was really nice and quick. No hold time was a nice plus. Since we were there today I'm not surprised this doe was on the move, so I'm impressed with the trigger speed getting her right in the middle of the shot. Most cameras with a deer that much on the move are only going to catch the rear. Was really concerned the app was going to take time to get into, but with fingerprint iD as an option it's no sweat. Like the options and ease of navigating the app. Definitely cool to see all the detail information of the photo. As I understand it the more I help rate and answer the questions the smarter the camera is going to get, which is crazy to think that I won't have to spend a lot of time deleting raccoon pictures. Speaking of number of pictures, the plans for these cameras blow all the rest out of the water. Unlimited pics for less that $13 a month, that's awesome! Can't wait for more pics the start coming in!

My camera lasted exactly 2yrs when the warranty ran out and stopped downloading pictures. The camera still works but ironically stopped downloading. Tech support offered a discount on another camera, I'm not happy with that answer.

Can’t keep the camera sending pics. I have to keep shutting down after a couple days and remove snd card, reformat card, then it sends again for a couple days. Wouldn’t buy another

Bought in 2020. Great camera but only lasts two seasons. Went to put it up this year and the bloody thing won’t even turn on. Brand new batteries. Nothing. Great camera while it lasted but not worth the price if it doesn’t last longer than 2 years. Buy something else

I love being able to see what's going on from my computer or cell phone. Moultrie Mobile has two great cameras the XV-7000 and the XV-6000. I own both models and they are performing very well for me. I hunt in Kansas and Tennessee but my home is in Alabama. This makes it very difficult to check cameras every week or two because of the long distance travel. These cameras let me know what is happening on my property even 800 miles away from home. This allows me to plan my trip to Kansas just when I start seeing the big bucks in daytime pictures. I love being able to make adjustments to the cameras without having to go to them. I have a few buddies that are using other name brand cameras and they are always having issues with them and the picture quality is no where close to Moultrie's. I would highly recommend this product.

This product came highly recommended by a friend. I was impressed by the ratings so ordered. Unfortunately I did need to return and even though I was outside the normal window Thomas Union worked with me for a full refund and return label. I appreciated the service of a small company.My friend loves this product so if you need a trail cam I still would recommend.

Works as advertised. My only issue is the sensativity of the sensors. I do have it set at the lowest setting but it still takes pictures. Not sure what sets the camera off. I have yet to try the video option. You have to retrive the card in order to see video
