I was hesitant at first after watching some people's reviews and reading them. But I decided to go with it and return it if it didn't work. Installing it is easy as long as you can follow directions. You have to install it as close to the floor as you can, if you have molding there are leveling disk to use so it's flush. It comes with 2 sets of hard wear so you are able to move it with ease. I installed mine on the top of my stairs, and used the extra hardware to block the kitchen. I love that it's one button to remove it from the wall so u can bring it were you need it. It's easy to lock and unlock with one hand. And I can open it with one hand. It's very tall and the screen mesh the baby would never be able to climb up and over. I tested it on my 2 block head 100lbs dogs. They tryed to run thru it and it stopped them and held up very well. Then I let the baby loss on it. As long as you installed it correctly you can not get under it. All in all I'll be ordering a extra for the living room and porch :)

This works perfectly for keeping our cats and small dog on the deck. They all love to be outside, but need supervision. This gate (along with the DOCAZOO DocaScreen Window Screen Replacement) allows us to let them be outside without worrying about them. In our case, our cats are pretty much inside all the time, so they haven’t seemed to learn that they can jump on the railing. It’s strong, durable, and has stood up to our Utah winters and summers for three years and still works perfectly.

I purchased this to keep my potty-training dog in the room while I worked. It holds super well, and as long as you lock it after hooking it open, he can't crawl under. He even scratched at it multiple times trying to get to the cat in the next room, and not one ripped stitch in sight! It's also plenty tall that even the cat can't jump over it.My only warning is that, even when locked, a small animal or infant could crawl under it when it's across a large doorway (I have it spanning about 60" or so). My cat was able to crawl underneath it while it was locked (so no extra give)- though I WILL say that it was a struggle for him. He had to flatten himself out like a pancake and kinda scramble/kick (he was bound and determined to get through, and I didn't realize what the noise was until he was almost through, or I would've opened it for him). If your kiddo or furbaby really wants to get to the other side, they might be able to squeeze themselves underneath it, but it was really hard for my maine-coon sized cat and he barely made it. Just be cautious, and make sure you're nearby just in case anyone decides to be an escape artist :)

Just got these in today, I bought 2 to keep my toddler off the stairs. There are many positives, great instructions, easy to use guidelines for mounting the hardware, durable gate with a solid locking mechanism, and the spacers to compensate for baseboards is a great addition.My only issue is the screws that come included, it may seem minor but caused me a ton of frustration. First off it comes with 2 lengths of screws, great. I had to use 3 spacers to match my baseboard and the longest screw in the kit is not long enough to make it through the hardware, spacers, and drywall to get to the stud. If you don't have paper thin sheetrock they're useless unless you plan on using the anchors.Even if they included the right length screws, they need to source them from somewhere else. This are absolutely trash quality screws. The manual calls for 2.5mm pilot holes, I drilled 3/32 (the closest equivalent bit) and STILL had 2 heads snap off meaning I had to adjust the positioning twice as there was the shaft of the screw stuck in the wood.

Very easy to install directly to oak door trim. It is sturdy and holds it position. The material that rolls up is a thick plastic weave. I have medium size dogs and this works great to secure them to one area of the house when I can’t have them running loose but want them to be able to roam from their crates to a portion of the house. I would never leave any dog home alone unattended behind ANY gate and not crated. There is no such thing as an escape proof gate to put that much trust and leave my dogs home alone to test it. That being said, this gate is effective at keeping my dogs secure while I am home. It has held up to scratching. The tension is also strong enough that my dogs have explored but not tried to go under the gate. I would not trust that a larger dog or small determined puppy couldn’t push under the gate, but it works great for adult dogs that have been trained to respect gates. It’s easy to install, use and stores itself out of the way easily when not in use. Highly reccomend!
