Two helmets strap nicely to the outside
Sept. 19th I used this pack to summit Borah Peak, Idaho's tallest peak. The top 1000' was snow covered so we went prepared with cold weather gear. My pack held gear for my wife and me to included 3-liters hydro bladder plus all wind and thermal layers, including extra gloves. The pack contained heavy hiking boots which we swapped for our light hikers at the snow line. We packed our emergency/first aid kit, munchies, camera, sunglasses and a small assortment of climbing protection, just in case. Total weight 30lbs. The pack is too large for what we needed so I cinched the top straps tight and clipped a carabiner drawing the two ice pick loops together. I laid the pack in the snow several times and didn't have any wetness issues. I wore this pack for 11 hours without any discomfort!I use this pack daily to carry climbing gear. For climbing I have it packed with one 70m rope five pairs of shoes, four harnesses, a dozen quick draws, four slings with locking caribiners, two pair of gloves, chalk bag, three belay devices, first aid kit,two fleece jackets and lastly food and water. Two helmets strap nicely to the outside. Now it's FULL!! Awesome bag for the price!

Pack
Backpack is good quality, but more colors would be great.I wear it riding a bicycle. "Black only" limits visual safety.Close buckles whenever not using. I lost one buckle and have no idea how to replace one (that pack was stolen from me, so I don't need to worry about that one).

Wow! great pack. not for tall people.
I bought this bag for my 9yo son and I may use it instead! Some reviewers stated it would not fit their torso's properly and I completely believe it. It fits my son perfectly at 4'10". The hip strap would surely be in the rib cage of some adults. It does however have quite a bit of room for gear. So much so that i can't fill a quarter of it or it would be incredibly heavy for my son. It is suitable, by far, for a multi-night trip-worth of gear/food. It is extremely lightweight yet seems durable and well built. The compression straps are useful if the pack is not full. you wouldn't want a growing child to carry more than 10 pounds or so worth of gear. There is not a large amount of padding (good for counting ounces) but the shoulder and hip straps are adequate for comfort. It is impressively lighter than the pack I use. At the price I don't see how it could be beat. Even if you bought three you would still save money compared to bigger name packs in the same weight class!Pros: lightweight, well built, suitable for smaller people, price, plenty of room, duffle style handleCons: not much torso adjustment

A Seamster's Dream
I used this item during a three week trip to carry light luggage; it was used almost solely for t-shirts, shorts, water bottles etc. The size and design of the bag is generally pretty good, I wouldn't want to use it as my sole piece of luggage for long travel where you need a lot or for backpacking in the wilderness for more than a few days but it has plenty of space and pockets for travel in warm areas where you're rocking a t-shirt, short-shorts and generally looking fine as hell. The real problem is the durability. It's constructed of a thin nylon material and lacks any sort of effectively supportive internal frame. Worst of all, the stitching on the backpack might as well be scotch tape - old scotch tape. The stuff where you can't find the start of it because every time you think you grab it it frays into tiny little sticky ribbons and you end up wrapping whatever you were repairing in 10 meters of duct tape in a fit of anger. My travel partner ended up having to teach myself to sew during my trip because of the number of times this backpack fell apart -- and by the end, I had enough practice that I could probably tailor a pretty nice suit. So anyways:Pros:-Fairly comfortable.-Good weight and size for hikes or trips where you're packing lightly.-Hideous orange color keeps it from ever being mistaken for someone else's bag / will only be stolen by the colorblind.-Taught me that many hotels can supply you with small sewing kits.Cons:-Makes tissue paper held together with elmer's glue from a children's arts and crafts store look like reinforced concrete.-If you care about your repairs matching the bag, bright orange isn't the easiest string to come by on a pinch. Pink, white, and blue add a nice bit of contrast though.

Perfect backpacking pack
Took this on two separate trips in one week. A three day mountain hike and a two day lake hike. It was very comfortable with great weight distribution across my hips and shoulders. No sore spots! Ventilation was decent on my back. The pockets are in all the right places, in my opinion. It cinches down easily without feeling like any seems will rip. It endured some abuse without being heavy. In other words, I was happy I didn’t have to carry the extra pounds of a thicker pack to get durability. I’m VERY happy with this pack!

Great Product for the Price
Used this bag (and a matching twin for my partner) to travel for the last year. Went to six continents and over 14 countries with it. Perfect size to fit in overhead bins on airlines that allow cary on items. Material was durable enough to withstand checking the bag with airline companies. Easy to wash in a washing machine. Do not plan to go on long hikes with this, it is not designed for that. Really good for the average traveler looking to pack light and easily move from place to place.
