iPad Mini 4 Screen Protector -Anker Premium Tempered-Glass Tablet Screen Protector with Retina Display (Not Compatible with iPad Mini / 2/3) w/

Overview: After a great experience with Anker's tempered glass screen protector for my iPhone 6s Plus, I saw no reason not to trust my iPad Mini 4's screen with this screen protector. As always, the price was right and it arrived fast. For the installation, I used the supplies provided and a can of compressed air. I was familiar with the installation, but viewed the install video just to see what it showed. If you have any questions on how to do this right, PLEASE VIEW THE VIDEO.Installation: I cleaned the screen first with the supplied alcohol swab. I lined the screen protector up and secured it to the iPad using the supplied sticky strips. This allows you to lift the screen yet keep the alignment. I cleared the big dust particles off with the compressed air, then used the last sticky strip to pick up the remaining specks. I recommend installing this in a well lit area that will let you inspect the screen for small dust specks. After I was confident that the screen was dust free, I removed the backing off the protector and applied. Using the hinge strips, it's like closing a book. The screen protector adhered to the screen almost 100% by itself. It will do this if the screen is cleaned properly. A few minute bubbles were left on the edges, and were quickly gone with a slight press of my finger.Initial review: The screen protector is perfectly cut for the screen on the iPad mini 4. The hole for the finger print ID button and FaceTime camera line up perfectly. There is minimal gap around the edge - and I do mean minimal. I would say less than a millimeter. It does have a nice oleophobic property as advertised that resists finger prints. The oleophobic coating on any screen protector will wear off over time, but a small application of car polish or even rain-x (yes, rain-x) will bring it back. Another main concern I had was how this would effect the anti-glare of the iPad mini 4. The iPad mini 4 has the lowest screen glare rating of any iPad which means its ability to be viewed outside is better than any other apple tablet before it. The screen protector did not increase glare at all - so this proves the crystal clear claim made by Anker. (note that my pictures were taken in direct light to show reflection and detail on the screen)Conclusion: The debate is out there whether or not to have a screen protector due to the fact that manufactures are using the toughest glass out there for phones and tablet. Personal experience shows me that no matter how tough the glass, you can still easily scratch the screen rather easily. This is an annoyance and also decreases the resale value of your device if you sell and upgrade often. The other debate is whether tempered glass is better than plastic film screen protector. Basic physics shows that having a sturdy buffer between your screen and an impact to absorb the energy of a fall will greatly reduce the chances of that energy destroying your screen. A face down drop of a phone or tablet will almost always result in a chattered screen. I'd rather shatter the protector than have the screen shatter. I've had this for about a week now and so far, I have no complaints. I love the installation and I highly recommend watching the video. This is not my first tempered glass - I've bought it for my phones before, etc. So I thought I was fairly knowledgeable on how to install these things. Just for kicks, I watch the installation video, which I admit, was very helpful for me to visualize the instructions.I haven't noticed any decrease in the screen's functionality. I bought the  Anker Ultra-Slim Premium Folio Case for iPad mini 4 - Smart Cover with Multi-Angle Stand and Auto Sleep / Wake Function  at the same time. I applied the glass and popped the iPad into the case with no issues. Everything seems to work well and I've had no issues yet.Below are the instructions that I recall from the video with some of my own tips.Anker Instructions:****Setting up the glass****1. Place two of the "hinge" stickers on the back of the iPad, adhering about 1/3 of the sticker. You want to attach just enough so it sticks to the back and can't be easily pulled off, but not too much that it can't wrap around.2. Lay the glass with the "back" towards the screen (e.g. where the adhesive protector is and if removed, where you would place the screen). Place it exactly where you want it.3. Pull the "hinge" stickers VERY tightly and adhere it to the glass.4. Place the "lifting" sticker on the other, non-hinged side of the protector. At this point, you should be able to move the screen protector with the lifting sticker like a hinged door.QA Check: When you lift the glass, there shouldn't be any movement from the sticker. If you were to place the glass down again on the screen, it should continue to line up perfectly. I wouldn't these the glass like a fan as the repeated and quick movements may make it more likely to move, but I would test to make sure that it's going to land perfectly.****Cleaning the screen****5. Wipe the screen with the alcohol wipe. You may choose to use another (e.g. a glasses wipe) if you so choose. You may notice streaks. If that happens, you will clean it off in the next step.6. (With or without streaks) Use the supplied microfiber towel to clean the screen. You may notice streaks from the alcohol wipe. Rub hard to remove them and they should go away. I scrunched my towel up to be able to apply more pressure.7. Use their dust removal sticker to catch any remaining dust particles on the screen.QA Check: Look at the screen from different angles to spot for any dust particles. Don't forget to clean the corners and sides of the iPad as well! If your tape can't catch anymore dust, using Scotch tape should do the trick as well. You can also choose to wipe down the adhesive backing just to clear for any dust particles that could land on the screen as you remove the backing.****Applying the glass****8. Once you have gotten your screen in the pristine condition, remove the adhesive backing on the glass while holding the lifting sticker.9. Quickly place it on top of the screen.10. Press in the center of the glass. The glass should be adhering to the screen in this process.11. If there are bubbles, quickly smooth them out with the towel, credit/debit/gift card, etc.

It is a very good screen saver, sadly even though I followed all of the instructions and was absolutely sure that the screen was free of any smudge or dust when I finally put it on, I found that a small hair had fallen on the screen, so there goes 15$ to waste because I lifted the screen protector and saw that the hair is stuck on it and since Anker says on the instructions to never touch the revealed adhesive side, I went ahead and put it back and now that little piece of hair will haunt me everytime I use my iPad

Best screen protector I have ever used. Easy to install, no bubbles, great instructions. When I installed the protector I was concerned because there was still a bubble that was visible, but when I checked the next day, the bubble was gone and it looked perfect. I can barely tell there is a screen protector on it.

It had to be the simplest installation I've ever done on a device. The quality of the screen protector is very clear, and it seems like you don't even notice it is there. The touch screen is just as responsive as without a protector. I would highlight recommend this purchase.Also, a tip is to apply the protector after a hot shower in the bathroom. It will minimize the dust in the air.

This is my first tempered glass screen protector. I am very pleased with the ease of application and how it reacts to screen touch-as if there were no protection or cover at all. Also the shipping time was exactly as stated.
