There were several issues blocking me from having not just a good nights sleep, I was willing to settle for just a descent nights sleep - I use a CPAP Machine every night, I have a Himalayan Salt Lamp about 3 feet from my eyes that produces ambient light 24 hours a day, and I do not produce enough Melatonin for my body to sleep all through the night, I usually (and my husband does too, sometimes) have to get up at least once for a potty run. I used to use Tart Cherry Concentrate which worked beautifully, but either I got used to it and it stopped working, or the increased amounts of meds I take nightly affected my sleep. Because I would wake up periodically, I never got into a deep REM sleep that then also had its own side effects, anxiety and frequent headaches. All of these factors resulted in a disturbed nights' sleep, and an overweight, irritable, sleepy person during the day / and I said overweight because I was too tired during the day to do much more than sit, watch TV, and along with eating - well, you know what happened.... So I started using this sleep mask and like the difference between night and day, my sleeping habits gradually changed. The first change (and as it turned out, the ONLY one necessary ) I made was using this sleep mask - within a week, I noticed I was waking up refreshed!!! I was not waking up with a headache. I was not TIRED all day - I had energy I hadn't had in a LONG time! Then I noticed that without changing my water routine at night - I wasn't even getting up for my nightly run!!! I didn't think it was going to be comfortable because it does rest on your eyelids, after a couple of days I didn't even notice it. I use it every time I close my eyes day or night. It's even comfortable using it with my CPAP Machine ( I pit my CPAPmask on first, then the Sleep Mask - it stays put, its, adjustable to use even if I'm sleeping in hair rollers, and I'm a much sweeter person after a good nights sleep!! It washes easily. The material is soft and comfortable. It's s nice size (adjustable strap and no Velcro to catch your hair) that it fits over my CPAP mask without letting light seep in around time nose! I'm buying my hubby and daughter each one now because they don't sleep well and it's probably because of surrounding light from their salt lamps too! One of my BEST purchase ever!!!

Hey everybody. I’ve had this mask for almost five years (ordered from Amazon July 7, 2015), and I love it. It’s incredibly comfortable, and I never notice the little adjustment clip on the back of my head, even though I shave my head. I can’t feel it at all. I have odd sleep patterns because I’m on disability for my back. I might go to bed at a normal evening hour, or just as the sun is coming up. I also sleep quite a lot during the day. The mask blocks put nearly all the light. I’d say between 90-95%. A very tiny amount is perceptible along the edges if I open my eyes, but not enough that it impedes my sleep. I’ve found by positioning it more effectively, that’s a non issue. I’m typically a side sleeper, but also sleep a good deal on my back if my back’s issues demand it. I have to sleep with a pillow between my legs after shattering the femur in my left leg, and having it reconstructed. So, when I wake up, and flip sides, positioning that pillow as needed, I need to fall right back asleep. This mask makes that possible, even if it’s in the middle of the afternoon. Many a time I’ve awakened with the mask on thinking it was the dead of night, and it was mid day. I have light sheets and pillowcases (light beige, currently), and have never noticed any issue where my pillowcases show a stain from the mask, and trust me, this mask gets heavy use. 8-10 hours, or more, every day. It’s lightweight, and pretty cool. If I put it on a bit too tight, I do sweat a little, so washing the mask every few months helps to keep it fresh. I sanitize my stainless steel sink, fill it with cool water, and put a tiny bit of Woolite Delicates in, and gently agitate the water. After a few minutes of soaking, I take it out, gently squeeze it, and press it between a few pieces of paper towel. Then, I hang it from the shower curtain rod to air dry. When bedtime comes around, it’s dry, and ready to go. I washed it that way when I first got it. I have pretty sensitive skin, so anything that will come in contact with my face, especially, gets washed first. Perhaps that’s why I’ve had no staining. I’m a fairly light sleeper, but with this mask and a nice pair of earplugs, I can sleep whenever I need to. After daily use for these five years, and multiple washings, it’s still in really good shape. I’ve noticed the tiniest bit of fraying along the bottom right seam, so I’ll be buying a backup just to have on hand if it worsens. But considering the length of time I’ve had it, and and the heavy workload it puts in, there’s no way I could complain. I need sleep to be able to function at all, and this little mask has been a Godsend.

This blocks light well and is comfortable. The shaped pad reduces pressure on your eyes. It doesn't work as well for side sleeping. The stiffer material on the edges pushes the mask around and applies more pressure to your face when sleeping on your side. One of the other versions would have been a better choice.

I have had several eye pillows over the years that help during migraines and to sleep. I have had one from 1$ upwards of 30$, made of plastic material to cloth with pellets, and even some with "soothing" materials. Out of all of these, I have to say that this is by far the best eye pillow I have come across. It eliminates the light that sometimes creeps in through the area between your eye and your nose, and has a pleasant feel against my skin. I spend most of my day on my stream or editing videos for Youtube, so when it is time to sleep I like to cancel out all incoming light that I can. I can tell you that this does it with an efficiency I have not see in any other product. It takes a great deal for me to give such high praise to a product, but this does it with ease. I was skeptical reading the page because I always am, but since its delivery I have been pleasantly surprised. If I could give this 6 stars, I definitely would, From just the stand point of someone wanting a better nights sleep, Its a 10/10. From the standpoint of someone who medically has intense light sensitivity when going through a migraine, I give it a 10/10. From the standpoint of just a consumer looking for quality out of his money, Look not further. This is literally the best eye pillow I have come across. It's easy adjustable strap allows it to stay on my face regardless if I toss or turn, and although I have yet to use it during a flight, I can only imagine the same result as at my home. Let me state for full clarity, I have spent close to 200$ in just the last two years on eye pillows, This is not only the best for the price, it's the best for its purpose. I do not see myself purchasing anything other than this in the future, and I would be willing to put my name behind it (if that's worth anything.) So if you are hesitant on purchasing, Let me assure you that if your goal is to block light from your eyes, this is the ticket. Do yourself a favor, like I have, and give it a try. I have spoken with the Alaska Bear people myself, and they are very professional. So for your TL:DR "It's worth it, and you won't regret it. I have had many, and this is the best I have encountered thus far."

Super silky and comfortable! I've been using it almost every night for years and it's still in good condition! Machine washable in my experience. Really helps me fall asleep.

I have gone through a series of sleep masks that did not fit well or were rough on my sensitive skin. This mask is silky smooth, adjustable, and fits my narrow face. It fits close to my face and does not let any light in. I have had it for about 10 days and I have had more restful sleep when using the mask. I find it is easier to fall asleep and easier to stay asleep. It is also a great value!

UPDATE: After posting this review, the seller reached out and proactively issued a full refund. While the mask shape still didn't work for my facial structure, their customer service is excellent. I have increased my rating from two stars to three stars to reflect the great support. The material of the mask feels very nice, and it blocks light reasonably well (usually). However, the foam inserts clearly press against my eyelids while I sleep, causing me to wake up with blurry vision every morning after wearing it. I tried loosening the strap significantly, but the issue persists. It’s possible this is just a mismatch for my specific head shape/facial structure, but waking up unable to see clearly for 30 minutes makes it unusable for me and potentially detrimental to long-term eye health. The types of sleep masks with the built in "eye cup" cutouts are probably a safer bet for most people, given that, you know, your eyes are important. Also, the mask often lets light in around the nose bridge, particularly when sleeping on your side. I like my Mzoo Sleep Mask that I got after trying this one!
