Good quality, easy install

I thought I’d have to take a bunch of parts apart in my tank & drain all the water at the bottom. Nope! This just snaps into place & works like a charm & I’m proud to of fixed it myself. Good buy & an extra in case another toilet o-ring/seal fails. Easy to fix & you only have to remove the chain & lift the center plastic/PVC float. This snaps in easily & you do not need plumbers glue or anything like that. Easiest fix I’ve had on almost anything in my home. YAY!

Worked great and solved my slow leak into the bowl.

I had the older red type seal that shipped with my Kohler toilet about 15-17 years ago and it eventually became so worn down it showed variance in certain areas that made it no longer flat and snug around the canister and I would notice my tank is constantly pouring water down the bowl, attempting to refill. I didn't go with a cheaper or alternative part because I know this seal is guaranteed to work. It will have the appropriate thickness, and diameter. I don't know how these new yellow silicone based seals will last over time or how they will change (ex. shrink or expand) but I know they are supposed to be better and specifically replace the red seals. What I made sure to do is properly remove the chain from the canister and get it out with a quarter turn so I can properly clean it. I used isopropyl alcohol on a Q-tip to clean the groove on the canister that the seal will need to fit into, as well as the base that makes contact with the lower part in the tank. I then used a waterproof silicone grease (Danco 88693) that I spread on the entire seal lightly. This is probably not required but it does help provide an extra layer of protection on the seal from contaminants. This grease is typically used on o-rings in faucets and other seals on plumbing fixtures. There are 2 seals provided in separate packaging so one can serve as a great backup.

This Kohler design makes for an easy swap out. This gasket is supposed to last longer even with chemicals being used, but it doesn’t last too much longer. Still a decent product

Fits great on our red ring canister seal...

Wasn't sure what part needed to be replaced to stop the toilet from running, so I tried this inexpensive fix first. It was very easy to install and the running completely stopped. Very inexpensive solution.
