Good product

I have the unfortunate combination of soft skin and a very coarse and tough beard. I've been using Gillette Sensor XL blades for at least thirty years now, exclusively, with barely a nick to speak of in all that time. After a long search, I found the pairing that works best for me is Nivea shave gel and Gillette Sensor XL blades. If you get nicked easily, or if you have sensitive skin, you might consider giving Sensor XL blades a try. In terms of longevity, I get about a week and a half's worth of good, close shaves per blade- though, since I'm long retired, I don't always shave every single day. Hope this helps!

These are the best razors I have ever found, but they are hard to find these days. I have been using them for decades. Using them with a moisturizing shaving cream (like Kiss My Face), they last months since the oils in the shaving cream prevents them from oxidizing. Blades don't get dull from shaving your face, they get dull from oxidation. I like that they have slim heads so I can get close to areas on my face, like under my nose, that cannot be shaved with the ridiculous 5 blade razors with giant heads that are popular today. It used to be the case you had to find Sensor Excels made in Brazil (instead of Poland) to get the best quality, but it appears Polish ones have caught up in quality and that is no longer an issue. The main problem I have with them these days is they can't be ordered from Amazon anymore. They send you a 5 blade razor instead of the correct product. Luckily, I can still get them from Walmart.

I guess I'm a bit old school... I've tried the 3-blade, 5-blade and other shaving blades from a few brands... I always go back to the Sensor Excel. I have 3 handles, the oldest of which is probably 25 years or more... still works like a charm and very happy Gillette hasn't discontinued this blade. I find that the 5-Blade cartridges make it difficult to get the whiskers up near the nostrils, but Sensor Excel makes it easy.

Excellent value

These blades are perfect and I hope they never stop making them. I don't care for all the "bells and whistles" on the new razor blades. These work, with nothing extra getting in the way of me getting a clean shave. The result is a smooth shave with an easy glide. Always sharp, always the same as when they were first introduced. A classic; don't change them!

Really disappointed that these have been discontinued. It's really difficult to find a good two blade razor anymore. Really not interested in 3 or 4 blade razors. Hopefully stock of these stays around for a while yet.
