This is the first time in my 3 or 4 years since I've been using this company's black seed that I am disappointed. It's much lighter in color as well as in taste. I have not used it since I got it. I'll probably end up just using it topically.

One Star: I have never heard of Black Seed Oil until I read an article making claims of what taking the oil will do for you . . . everything for helping with arthritis pain to helping with thinning hair. I usually don't believe these types of claims and still plan to look for published scientific studies (if any) on Black Seed Oil. HOWEVER, I did go to Amazon and looked up the product and read the comments. Almost universally it was said that the oil tastes bad. But of all the brands Kiva was said to have the least bad taste. So I bought it to see. Yes it tastes bad, like any oil probably would. But if you chase the teaspoon full of oil with a drink of juice, coke, etc. . . the bad taste doesn't last long. So now that I have taken the oil for about a week, I find that nothing has changed except I seem to keep a slight upset stomach. I think it is too soon to see if I will achieve the miraculous benefits claimed by the oil. I'll comment again later to let everyone know if something magical happens.Two Stars UPDATE: Ok. I've ordered bottle number 2 even though nothing miraculous has happened to my body. Perhaps it takes time. I'm disappointed to see no relief in my arthritis pain. Also, I still have gray hair. I have found the best way to take this nasty-tasting oil is to take a teaspoonful of oil, hold it in your mouth, then take a shot of tequila. The only thing I have noticed heretofore is a stickiness to my stool, but that seemed to have slowly diminish. I will come back with another update when I finish bottle number 2. Cheers!5 Stars. UPDATE 2: OK. I'm ordering bottle number 3. I have indeed seen my gray hair slowly turning back to its original color! Yea. I only had gray around my face and it has greatly diminished. So that claim is indeed true. As far as my arthritis pain, I'm thinking that has improved too. It happens so slowly you don't notice. Then all of a sudden you realize you're feeling great and your body isn't so stiff. And because my arthritis pain has diminished I've become more active - I feel like gardening again and even cleaning house. Amazing. LOL. OK. Five stars for this product! (P.S. Still tastes nasty though.)

This is my third bottle in 2 months. The first two were great. High quality packaging (glass bottle well secured in a very good cardboard box inside the regular Amazon packaging) and strong taste. I just received the 3rd one and the glass bottle was in a plastic bubble wrap. I first thought I may have purchased it from a different seller. I doubled checked and it's the same seller "Kiva Health". I compared the new bottle with the previous ones and they are identical. So I thought they maybe just went for a cheaper packaging and as long as the product safely arrives, I am good. Afterwards, I took a teaspoon of the oil as I usually do and was disappointed: the taste is less strong and the oil seems lighter. There is not even an after taste.

Black cumin seed oil is an absolute powerhouse. It has numerous active compounds that are responsible for its medicinal benefits; nigellone, thymoquinone myristic acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid, palmitoleic acid, oleic acid, linoleic acid, arachidonic acid, proteins and vitamins B1, B2, B3, calcium, folate, iron, copper, zinc and phosphorous.I use it on my skin and take it internally. Be warned, when you take it straight it has a fairly intense taste that is strong and peppery. If you have trouble downing it on its own, smoothies are definitely a more palatable way to reap the benefits of this incredible oil. I'm not actively trying to combat any health issues, but I do feel a sense general wellbeing when I do take it, I have more energy and feel less sluggish. I have heard some other incredible health testimonials, though. I also like to treat my skin with it every so often. I put it on before bed and wake up with supple, glowing skin. It's definitely a treat and your skin will thank you.It comes in a nice, dark-coloured glass bottle, which is much appreciated. This size and price is fair when you consider its benefits. I'm definitely pleased and will be repurchasing!

I've tried a few different kinds of black seed oil, and I think this may be the most effective to date. Flavour-wise, it's not necessarily more pungent than any of the others, but I seem to get slightly better and quicker allergy relief with the Kiva. Seems to be very fresh!I use black seed oil primarily for respiratory allegies and asthma, for which it is extremely effective. I also started taking it to counteract black mold poisoning; it's been a year, and I'm definitely past the worst of the mold symptoms. So glad I found this stuff.Use a tsp of oil am and pm - I generally take it with a tsp of raw thyme honey (which is a great combo, but any raw honey is good) and a half cup of hot water. Sometimes I'll add it to a salad, but I definitely recommend taking w food or something else, otherwise it can make you belch.

Won't lie, the flavour is really strong and flavours anything you try to mix with it. However, I do feel its powerful action and it probably will be helpful. I have only used it for a week so I do not just how effective. AS a first time user I have nothing to compare it with, but I like that it came in a dark glass jar which I had read previously was helpful at protecting the oil.I have mixed with equal parts honey and also apple cider vinegar and hummus to make a salad dressing. If anyone out there has suggestions for serving or recipes please share. I want to take this but it is not pleasant!!
