Received unit not really NEW - Remanufactured
Had a problem out the bag with the drive. RAID array would not recognize it. Contacted Seagate support. Had to give Serial Number (SN). Rep had me verify it multiple times. Ended up sending a picture of the drive label via email. Warranty expired 2017. Drive had already been submitted for repair and was re manufactured/reconditioned. Drive was not recognized (new*) because there was an existing RAID controller ownership set on the drive. Had to erase/clear the dive and was then able to add to array.FYI for anyone else.
