Amazon Basics Wall Mounted Key Storage Box - Combination Lock - Black

I should have checked them as soon as they were delivered because now I'm past the return window. I bought two of these and recently opened up one of them to test and install. I actually put keys in it and locked it using their default combination and it never opened back up. Tried using combinations close to the default to see if maybe the manufacturing has a digit off but I haven't had any success. So I opened the other one I ordered to see if the opening lever was as tight as the one I used and it wasn't. The other one I opened had some give before either stopping or unlocking whereas the first one hardly has any movement at all. This is what I get for trying to save some money by not buying the Masterlock version I've used before with no problems.

This solved a problem we have probably all experienced. Forgot my key, not a problems anymore. I just dial in a code and I have my house key safely in my lock box. If I need to leave a key for someone to get in, I just change my code and give it to them for a one time use. So easy to change the code and it can be changed as many times as you want to do it. It attached easily to my house with several screws so it cannot be taken off. I am over hiding a key outside and I love this key storage. Should have gotten one a long time ago. I am going to buy my disabled sister one so she can get emergency help when she needs it. I highly recommend this product.

Make sure the code is lined up perfect or you’ll bend something inside the mechanism.

My only complaint is the screws that come with it are awful. I had 2 of the heads snap off which made it impossible to extract the rest of the screw. Definitely would recommend supplying your own screws.

It does exactly what it says - stores me house key in a secure locked box. It has been a lifesaver as we've been having work done on the house so the contractor can come and go without me needing to let him in all the time. It also saved my behind one time when I forgot my key.It was a good price and it has held up well to heavy usage so far so I'm pleased.
