Bought two of these in the wrong size last year due to my own fault. I measured my dogs correctly this time and received them Saturday. We spent the entire weekend in the water and they are great. They are comfortable for the dogs and made sturdy. The straps are made great and it keeps their heads up out if the water. Durability seems great as well The buckles seem to be fine and sturdy as well and they walk fine in them with no problem at all. Great product for the price. Just have to keep them hidden from the dogs because If they see them they whine to go to the dock. Total 5 stars!

My GSD can swim non stop for hours, the problem is that he gets exhausted but wants to keep swimming and playing. I picked this up to put on him when he shows signs of "slowing down" I put this on him so he can keep playing in the water. The vest has stretch fabric on the underside that makes fitting quick and easy. When he has the vest on he will swim out and just doggie paddle (yup, pun intended) around and he seems more relaxed. At times he just sits and floats and watches his surroundings.He can run around on land with the vest on but is a bit harder for him stay in the "sit" position.All the fabric and construction of this life vest is solid. Have used several times since purchase and still looks brand new.

I got an XL for my elderly lab and it fits great, not too tight. I wasn't sure how he'd do with it because he loves to swim and we haven't gone in a while, but he acted no different at all. Since he has arthritis and tires easily I felt we needed a life jacket, and I am so glad I made the purchase. It definitely helped him stay up and he was able to swim longer than he would have without it. The two handles on the back are very handy with helping him in the water and we tied a rope to one because he's been known to try to cross a body of water (and decides he doesn't have to listen to direction when in the water). I would definitely recommend this - I feel like its great quality for the price.

Great quality and well made. My dog although 21” in her girth, was swallowed up in a medium. (Ordering guidelines said to order by girth, not weight or length.) Returning was not a hassle and reordered a small. Hopefully it will be the right fit. (pictures are of the medium)Update: The small was perfect for her! Great product and a great price! There was enough adjustability with straps and Velcro that it fit her perfectly.

Great handle and quality…dogs is comfortable in it

I bought this for my puppy when he was 4 months old, and he is 6.5 months old now. I am pretty sure he is going to be able to wear it for a while longer, we may eventually have to get a larger size once he is full grown. We have used it at the lake and the pool. He has no issues with me putting it on him, he seems comfortable, and it definitely helps keep him buoyant. He will swim with or without it, but you can definitely tell he is much more confident in deeper water when he is wearing it. Thanks to this jacket, he has gotten to experience the fun of tubing behind the boat! He loves it and I don't have to worry about him falling off because if he does, he will stay afloat.I was hesitant to order this one based on some of the reviews saying it tipped their dog over, but I think they either did not have a properly fitting jacket (just speculation), or their dog was just too small for the jacket to really be able to do it's job (I think a very light/small dog might not be enough to weight the jacket down into the water enough to keep it from tipping if that makes sense... like there is more jacket than there is dog). When it is time to order another one, I will be ordering another one of these! The quality is great, the price is great, and it does exactly what I need it to do!

My dog isn't the strongest swimmer, but always wants to join us on the river or lake. He definitely appreciates swimming with the lifejacket. He's more relaxed and doesn't swim around in panic mode anymore.

She is 24 inches girth wears medium. small does not fit. She did not want it on and is sitting like a log not moving. very typical first life jacket response. we are taking her in her first canoe. she swims like a fish, but the river has current so we are being very careful with her. If this is your dogs first lifejacket, beware they do not like the sound of velcro opening. do that away from the animal or figure out how to introduce this loud sound repetitively so it becomes benign noise. Goes on easy and looks solid. has glowy strips and good handles. picked her right up.

I ordered a few before finding this one. My Chihuahua is about 5 pounds and slim so XS was often too big.For the price range, its perfect! It’s not bulky, he is able to move around freely.
