Great deal for the price
Caveat, I literally just got this thing today so haven't played with it much.Use these exclusively for karaoke, my last one randomly died Harbinger HA120 after only 2 years of very light use. I'm no KJ pro, I mostly use it myself on occasion and do family parties every so often.Sound is a bit tinny but I didn't expect HIFI for the price, and by tinkering with treble, bass and EQ got it to sound very good. I seriously doubt if this thing throws 800 watts but it is plenty loud enough for me. Looks nice, good form factor, light weight and the USB MP3 thing is a very nice touch especially for this price point - Just plug in s USB stick loaded with songs and jam away.I have seen people complain about the fan, it is a little loud but doesn't bother me, its not like a turbine spooling up or something. Glad it has a fan, my last one didn't.Of course, I have no way of knowing if it will stand the test of time, if it lasts over 2 years of light use I'll be happy.

best deal for the money anywhere!
Good sturdy case, clean sound, very functional eq. Overall a great powered mixer. Handles 4 - 8 ohm speakers with ease. One tiny complaint is the noisy cooling fan. I will be replacing that shortly, then it will be a "perfect 10".

Good value Generally very adequate.
Power is fine. I would guess 8 ohms gives me around 150-200 watts per side. USB good for playing tunes but you cannot program so not much use to me. I POD does fine through it, tho. It is generally cheap but the power and EQs, active and line, are up to snuff. Boogie to Ballad, it is adequate and powerful. Good buy for the price.

Bad buy, dont buy
I purchase this product in February and never used it until April. At first i kept hearing a popping sound and a constant feedback. I thought it was my settings but after 30 mins it came off.I reset the power and tried again. While talking on the mic the sound went but the unit remained on.Call the purchaser and they said it was out of their return time and i should send it back to pyle. These guys have poor customer service. They said the system would take a week to be repaired, i waited two weeks before they called and asked me what was wrong with it.It took another three weeks before they sent it back. From the first time i turned it on i heard the fan rubbing before it stop and soon after the popping started and within 45 mintues the audio went. I am writting them for a refund. You get what you pay for. Dont buy

800 Watts @ 4 Ohms, 400 Watts @ 8 Ohms - 125 Watts (RMS) a side
This is a solid, sweet unit. However, let's be honest. This unit IS 800 watts but at 4 Ohms. It is Mono - NOT Stereo (thank God). Which means, @ 4 Ohms that's 400 watts per plug (yes, there's two). Problem is, I haven't seen 4 Ohm speakers since the 1960's. MOST professional speakers are 8 Ohms. Did they lie? No. It's just misleading and this information is not here on Amazon.com. You have to look at the Technical Specs for this unit @ PyleUSA.com. This means at 8 Ohms (look on the back of your speakers to find out), you get half the watts. The RMS for this 200 watts a side, is 125 watts a side. That's 250 watts, NOT 800. Other than that, I am happy our little 501 (c) (3) music school owns this unit. It will work just fine for our needs. Straight up - I have never known Pyle to make a bad product.

Affordable System setup
Hooked up to some great speakers this powered mixer really shines! Multi uses for this, you can hook up an acoustic drumkit, karaoke night with your SD card or flash drive ready to plug n play. Bought this cause my "Kustom" powered mixer caught on fire. 5/5

It is a good buy for a solo gig.
I have two old sp-2 peavey speakers from the eighties, and my power amp died. This amp/mixer is fine for them for practicing with the band. I would only use it live if I was solo, and it would do well. I got it since it was cheap, and it works fine. It would be underpowered for my speakers with a full bend though I’m afraid.

Decent, but not professional quality
This mixer/amplifier is decent. Generous amount of inputs. There are a few problems, however. The biggest problem is that it does not sound great at max volume with DJ speakers like other amplifiers do. Also, the MP3 playback is useless as it sounds like its playing through a tin can. The unit loses power after a few hours and starts popping until you reset it. The graphic EQ has very odd ranges and all bands must be turned all the way down in most cases for it to sound somewhat decent. It seems that the EQ is mis calibrated and flat EQ is not flat EQ out of the box. The "Effects Controller" is just there to fill the space it seems as it does nothing to the sound. I know I had higher expectations than I should have for this unit, you get what you pay for, but this is a bit pathetic.

Well worth the money.
Works very well, better than expected. Clear sound, works well with both passive and powered speakers. Happy with its performance.

The sound quality is excellent, and I am surprised how good the unit ...
I use this mixer amp for Open mic nights and small gigs. The sound quality is excellent, and I am surprised how good the unit is for the low cost.

Cooler fan too too loud.
The amp cooling fan is really really loud. I wondered why previous reviews have not mentioned it. Am afraid l will have to give it one star. It should not be on the market with that noise like a small jet about to take off. No.
