XMark VKR Vertical Knee Raise with Dip and Pull-up Station Power Tower XM-7617

This is a serious piece of gear. It's very well designed, the welds and components are very well done and everything is heavy duty. The tower weighs in the neighborhood of 150 lbs when assembled. I weigh 235 lbs and the tower doesn't budge at all when I use it. Be sure to check the space you have available as it's a significant size when assembled, and you also have to allow for sufficient space around it for working out, such as if you intend to use the push up grips. I prefer the style of pull up grips on this model over the straight bar design used on some other models. I also prefer that the pull ups are performed on the opposite side from the side used for knee raises and dips, as the arm supports don't get in the way.This unit ships in two boxes, the largest of which weighs roughly 100 lbs. That box is about 8 feet long so plan on having two people to move it around. Like other XMark products which I have purchased in the past, the items are shipped in double boxes, an inner box which is then placed inside a second outer box. This is excellent, because the outer boxes invariably get damaged in shipping and handling, yet I've found that the inner boxes survive quite well, thereby protecting the contents and ensuring nothing is lost in transit.Assemble was easy and took roughly 1.5 hours, although I tend to work slowly and methodically. The instructions are very clear, the parts well labeled and the design is very simple. The average person will have no problem assembling this unit.While not the cheapest option available for a power tower, the combination of a rugged commercial quality build as well as the design features (and my previous experience with other XMark products) made this an easy decision for me, and one which I do not regret.

I bought this for my son as a Christmas gift. He used to be a personal trainer at a gym and is now building up his home fitness center. He said it is definitely professional quality, very comfortable and solid, and he's able to do several exercises on it. When we visited, I used it and there was no wobbling, and no feeling like it might tip over like with some cheaper models that I looked at. He said it took about an hour to assemble, and was pretty easy, but he has experience setting up gym equipment so I'm sure that helped. Also, delivery was prompt and everything was there in the package, no problems.Bottom line, this is truly high quality and will last for many years, so even though it costs more upfront than some other options, it's a fine value when you look at the long term view.

Great product! Made of heavy duty 11 gauge steel. There are a lot other product with similar functionality. But none of them come even close in in terms of sturdiness and stability. You don't get 11 gauge steel from any other competitors. They are at best made of 14 gauge steel, with 250 lb max weight. This monster has 600 lb weight capcity! I feel that I can pass it on generations after generations.Installation is intuitive and easy. Bolts and nuts are also heavy duty.Very happy with this power tower.

Product comes in two packages. There was a hiccup with the shipment of the second package but it eventually arrived. The quality of the materials, fit and finish are all very good. The steel is heavy gauge. The ergonomics work well. The assembly went smoothly and it is very sturdy and stable. I've bought two other exercise racks before but this one is the best. The only downside is that the base is rather narrow. In an earth quake zone, a moderate quake may topple it.

I bought this machine in July 2014 and have been using it nearly every day since then. It is well made, durable, and stable. The pads are firm and durable and the screws are beefy and have not come loose ever. I also like its small footprint, which doesn't take too much room in my home gym. I am 5' 11" and 190 lbs. The machine is totally stable during my routines. Definitely one of the best investments I have made in my physical fitness regime.

This is an impressive piece of equipment. I weigh over 220pounds. I tried cheap towers from local stores and it was scary the shacking of those towers during each dip or pull-ups. This machine is not cheap. So you better make good use of it at least every other day. I would highly recommend this tower to anyone who is serious about doing pull-ups and dips in a regular basis. Assembly is easy. No more than 2 hours. Follow the instructions. Delivery was great. Two boxes in excellent conditions.

Excellent well-built, worth the extra bucks, a very solid unit. You will not be disappointed in this Power Tower. Like a slice of a gymnasium in your own space. Straight forward assembly. Only suggestion to seller OJ Commerce would be to improve upon the shipping cartons and packing. Boxes arrived pretty beat-up with some corners re-taped over by shipper, but amazingly unharmed with only one washer missing from the 'parts pack' which split open inside during shipping (got replacement from Lowes). Highly recommended!

Got this as an academy gift to my Fire Department. About 25 of us pitched in for this and this thing is really heavy duty. Works great for the over 100 firefighters that work at the station. Doesn't sway at all when doing pull ups. Perfect for an industrial setting.
