Outstanding, is how I'd describe using this, is, to cut up my homemade sourdough. The handle has just the right amount of grip & comfort & it seems slip resistant. It's so sharp, that it accurately cuts through fresh sourdough with ease. Cutting thin sandwich size slices is a breeze. I've never experienced a knife that feels so good in the hand & cuts bread easily as well, without the bread falling apart - but this had no problems. I had considered buying an electric knife, because I have RSI in my hands & wrists & I'm not getting any younger at 60, I'm glad I didn't :)

I had owned my previous bread knife for years. As I always bought sliced bread, it was rarely used. When I started to bake my own bread, I discovered that this old knife was extremely blunt. I owned a knife sharpener but this had minimal effect on it. When I attempted to use it to cut a loaf of bread, it simply hacked at it producing irregular slices which were difficult to toast. I saw this knife on Amazon at a very reasonable price and decided to buy it. What a difference it made! It cuts the bread cleanly and evenly, producing thin slices ideal for putting in the toaster. I found that the knife had a secure, non-slip handle which was comfortable to hold. I liked the fact that the knife was not too long. My existing bread knife was very long, for no good reason that I could think of. This knife was a practical length. Overall this was a good quality knife at a very reasonable price. Recommended.

It’s a good bread knife! Securely packaged, slightly smaller than expected but functions well. Quality is good. Pleased overall.

Absolutely wonderful a safety knife that is so good I have bought I have now almost bought the entire range . The quality is superb and this is from the Viners Assure range in my opinion a must for every kitchen and outstanding value for money - a dream for any cook.
