Nice camera, difficult setup
Order two to keep inside to monitor doors. Initial setup was uneventful. Both are connected wirelessly. Once connected to the network, you can then use the IP address to log into the unit. There are many options within the unit to customize the view, network, etc. One thing I did was to set a static IP address for, to ensure the dhcp server would not reassign the IP address. This is important when trying to use the included Pro software. The camera image is ok for my purpose. It captures a good quality image of my doors, which I could use to identify someone breaking it. It cancels out glare from the sun pretty well. It is the software that gets the star reduction. The software is difficult to configure and there is not a lot of documentation. I tried multiple drive/network configurations to get it to work with my WHS, and ultimately take it out of the drive pool to configure it. I will be adding three more cameras outside and in the basement that should give me complete coverage of my house.

Too expensive for the limited capabilities.
I bought this for the night vision and wireless networking. Setup was quick and fairly simple, but Windows 10 and Windows 7 Home premium will not allow the viewing software to be installed. I can work on the settings, but not see images with anything but Safari (no recording, no management) or Windows 7 Pro. Recording is to an SD card or Samba server. There is no option for a networked Windows drive. After checking all my options on the support web site, I called tech support. I asked about the lack of storage options, not being able to view the output from IE or Chrome (not allowed to install, expired certificates, and untrusted publisher), and return possibilities; the answer was that it is a Windows problem; use a different browser (giving up any recording capability); install and setup a Samba server; and pay a restocking fee . It is poorly managed drivers and really untested software from TRENDnet.

So far its OK, expected more tho.
I purchased the TV-IP851WIC previously and liked how it was working. The only problem it didn't record video clips. This one appears to do that. I checked to make sure they were compatible (at least I thought I did). However they do not use the same Android app. One is TRENDnetCloudView and the other is TRENDnetView. This one requires much more router configs and openings in order to get it to work. The Cloudview version was much simpler to setup. Having to figure out how to get the android app (or remote viewing) of this camera seems to be a pain. Will update if I can actually get this thing to work. Just be cautious if you already have an existing camera.

Camera works well. The included setup program for Windows worked fine and got me setup manually on our Google WiFi network. The iOS app worked fine. Hardware is all good. The OSX software did nothing. Opening the app simply produced an empty frame on my Macbook Pro. I spent 2 hours trying to get the TrendnetView Pro software to do anything useful on Windows 10 without success. I write cross-platform networking software for a living - it really doesn't need to be that difficult. Note that I did not try the browser plugins, not interested.Had to return it. Too bad, seems to be nice hardware. I did not contact TrendNet for support, I don't have the time for that. 2 stars for the hardware. None for the software. Also, be careful with the iOS app - click "upgrade" and without explaining what the new features are or a simple confirmation screen with a price you get charged $4. Shifty as hell.

Totally Disappointed in TRENDnet and now I'll try another manufacturer
I have only owned TRENDnet web cameras. I decided to add one to my network so I ordered this one which had all the features I wanted, but most importantly, night vision. I have a previous TRENDnet model with night vision that allowed me to see everything in the room, even items further away than the 16 feet visibility advertised. This camera was also supposed to have 16 foot visibility. When I added it to my network and checked it the first night, something was definitely wrong. Either TRENDnet changed their night vision technology or this camera was broken. There was a small light on the camera that was illuminating items that were a foot or less away. It looked nothing like the IR view of the room my older model gave me. Instead it looked like someone with a tiny flashlight was trying to illuminate the room. I was so disappointed I returned both of the cameras and now I am trying a different manufacturer all together.

Does not support cloud services.
The camera appears to work well, but beware that this version does not work with the trend net cloud service. It really only works on your local network, so you can't view things when away from home with out jumping thru a lot of detailed router configuration setups.

Good Basic WiFi Webcam - UPDATED
Nice webcam, works well, inexpensive. Works very well with Synology Security Station, it's one of their supported cameras.UPDATED: I now have 3 of these, one is going to my vacation house where I have a Ring Doorbell installed. I'd love to expand my Ring with their cameras, but they want $199 for each camera and $30 per year for cloud storage. Using the TV-IP562WI instead, the camera costs less than $60, has as good or better image quality, has motion detection, can alert me via multiple channels, and I can use one of my old NAS boxes to store as much video as I want for nothing.

Replaced a 651WI that I could no longer dial into with this one. Didn't need a moving lens. This camera works in every aspect EXCEPT the motion detection. You either get tons of e-mail alerts until you turn it off OR you get none, even when you walk in front of it. Tried suggestions from Trendnet tech support. No change. So it's going back. If you don't need the motion detection functionality, everything else works.

Decent but US power adapter to UK???
Works well with Synology Surveillance Station. Mic picks up decent sound. Lost a star for arriving with a US power adapter!

I used it for about 8 months and it worked fine. It is installed inside a window facing outside towards the driveway. I can't say what the audio quality is like as I didn't need it. I had it shut off for about 3 months but needed to have it running again and have not been able to have it streamed through the computer. I have reset it many times and still to no avail. I had to download Firefox just so I could get the live stream but to record from that screen takes up way too much space in a "avi" file and is a pain in the butt to review the footage. I have looked on line to see if I could find an answer to my problem, next step is to contact the company.I must say that daytime clarity is great, night time is ok if you have enough light. I paid under a $100 so still worth the $.

Do not purchase. A discontinued product!
Not impressed. Purchased this product only to find out it is discontinued by the manufacturer. Does not easily work with other software.

No gasten su dinero en esta cámara
Pésima resolución. No admite sd-card de más de 16GB. El sensor de movimiento es una porquería y se activa sin ninguna razón. El software de trendnet es malísimo. En fin pésima inversión
