Great tool worked perfectly! Here's some easy instructions to use it also :) enjoy!
So this tool worked perfectly to remove the 12v power outlets in my 2008 Yukon. It was a little tricky at first, especially reading that so many people broke things getting off and had to pull really hard, but after 1 minute of doing that I thought there had to be a better way, and let me tell you there is!!! It was so easy, I pulled out both my outlets and replaced the rings in under a minute with this tool.So here is what you have to do, you'll see a little square about half way down your outlet on the bottom, angle the tool so that one half of the T goes in that little square, then lift the handle up on the tool so that the other half goes in the outlet and you'll feel it fit into a square on the top inside of the outlet.Once you have it locked in just pull a little bit, I think this is where everyone else was having problems, you can pull as hard as you want and it will rip it out but it will most likely break something. So instead of doing that just pull a little bit until you see the outlet come out just a tiny bit, that's all it needs. I then removed the tool the same way I put it in and was able to just slide the out let out and then unplug it. It's that easy! :DAll the tool does is release the clips inside so you can slide it out, once you've slid it a little the clips aren't engaged anymore and the tool is now blocking you from completely removing the outlet. Once you remove the tool, the outlet just slides right out. Hope that helps!!! Good luck everyone!

A Quick Fix for a Frustrating Problem!
The cigarette lighter power port in my 2015 Checy Colorado simply stopped working one day, which was very frustrating as I use it for my dash cam and my RV rear cam when I am towing. I replaced all of the fuses and nothing worked. I purchased this replacement lighter socket and removal tool and had the old one out and the new one installed in less than two minutes. Now everything works perfectly again. I even use a splitter in it now so I can plug two devices into it at the same time. Problem solved!

Look for another fuse box.
Product is fine, tool works good. Didn't notice any tool wear after one use. After installation the 12v outlet still didn't work. With further investigation I found another fuse box on the passenger side of my dashboard and located a burnt fuse... Face palm... Fixed. The quality looks the same as my OEM part though so have no fear about that.Recommended. I'd buy it again.

Great tool if replacing a GM lighter plug
The tool worked great. You push the pins with the T shaped tool. You must force it a bit to be able to push both pins. Then you can try to pull the tool a bit but must remove it from the two little holes where the pins are. Then I used the same tool to pull the lighter socket from a different hole in the side of the socket. Worked great. The provided lighter socket works but didn't go all the way in and would get stuck leaving Bout 1/4 of an inch sticking out. I had 2 other lighter sockets from the yunk yard so I ended up using the used OEM sockets instead the new one provided with the purchase. Other than that, this T tool will help you replace a GM lighter socket with almost no hassle. I used for my 07 Avalanche and I replaced the two lighter sockets underneath the radio. The autoparts store sold the same tool for about $25, so paying $11 at Amazon was no brainer. Would buy again if needed. Recommend!
