Elgato Wave:3 USB Condenser Microphone for Streaming

I purchased the Elgato Wave:3 (White) for my daughter as a Christmas gift, and it has been an absolute home run. The very first time she logged into a game after setting it up, her friends immediately stopped mid-conversation to ask, “What microphone are you using?” That alone says everything. The voice clarity is outstanding — clean, rich, and studio-level crisp. Compared to her previous USB microphone, the difference isn’t subtle at all. Background noise is dramatically reduced, her voice cuts through perfectly, and every word sounds natural and professional without any tinkering or complicated setup. The build quality is exactly what you’d expect from Elgato: solid, premium, and thoughtfully designed. Paired with her other Elgato gear, it elevates her entire streaming and gaming setup to a truly next-level experience. The Wave Link software is powerful yet intuitive, giving her full control over audio without frustration. Most importantly, she absolutely loves it — and when your mic becomes a conversation starter in every lobby, you know it’s doing something right. Pros: - Mute button is nice. I was looking for a mic with a mute button, for when people enter my room unexpectedly while I'm talking to friends online. It works great. - Sounds great, even from a couple feet away and at a slight angle. I am not interested in keeping my mouth directly on a microphone, so I looked for one that was good at a slight distance. It also has a built in feature that removes sharp sibilant sounds, like "S" and "T". I haven't tested this feature extensively, but it seems to work well - no pop filter necessary. - Nice and thin, easy to keep on a desk. - USB-C, much better than the micro USB on my Blue Yeti Nano. The port on my Yeti Nano broke, which is why I had to buy a new mic in the first place. - Looks pretty, though that's subjective. I like the aesthetics quite a bit, looks modern and sleek. Cons - It's a bit pricey. I don't regret buying it at this price, but I wouldn't say it's a super competitive price either. Easier to justify for a livestreamer, less easy to justify just for Discord or Zoom. - Kinda tall. If I have it in front of me it blocks my view of my screen. However, I'm comparing it to my Yeti Nano, which is a particularly small mic. It's probably no taller than a full sized Blue Yeti or other similar mics. I keep it off to the side a bit which solves this issue, and it still sounds fine. Conclusion: I am happy with my purchase. It's a very welcome upgrade from my Blue Yeti Nano. You could probably find a better bang-for-your-buck mic, especially if you don't care about the features I do (size, mute button, USB-C). But if this mic lasts for years like my old mic did, then it will certainly have been worth the money.

It sounds amazing even without the software, but then with the wavelink software it is amazing, the noise removal is amazing, sound quality is amazing, it is light and made of a good material, volume is easy to control with the notches and the software. Super easy to connect, it’s just a plug right into the pc, I went with the black one and it looks pretty sleek, it is sturdy and doesn’t wobble.

Bought this Microphone recently to replace my old standing mic and im very much a fan for the price its very good has very nice clear sounding input and is pretty compact and small size that fits perfectly on my desk. In terms of functionality it comes with its own app that you download from the website and pretty standard but sometimes thats for the best especially when you can have other apps control more specifics on the quality and the tone of the input.

This microphone has been awesome to use and have. Great clarity, easy to use, and really good background sound filtering. If you are used to a headset microphone, I understand the hesitation to move to something like this. But it's worth it. Dealing with a boom really isn't that big of a deal, especially since you can adjust the gain on the microphone and it does a great job of picking up voice even if you have the microphone a couple feet away from your face

Elgato is a brand I've grown to love. Great USB condenser mic. The software is a little learning intensive.

Great mic, especially for the price. I'm impressed with the ease of use and recording quality. It's also not so large that it's overwhelming. It's a small size that fits easily in front of my face when I'm sitting at my desk. Also seen in this pic are the Elgato pop filter and the Elgato shock mount, which I'd recommend getting if you decide on purchasing this mic.

The value in this microphone has more to do with the amazing software rather than the quality of the microphone. Don't get me wrong, the microphone is really good. But the software is what makes this product really great. This software replaces your external hardware mixer with a software version that can selectively grab sound output from specific programs like Chrome/Brave/Firefox while filtering out other sound sources like your instant messenger on your computer so they don't get recorded to the stream. The one caveat here is that on macOS the default settings had the microphone giving a ~40ms delay in the voice due to software loop back. However, the software loop back can be disabled and instead a zero-time loopback can be activated very easily by disabling software monitoring. On Windows 10 this is already the default. But on MacOS it is not. However this little hiccup is not severe enough to remove a star. It's just something took me about 15 mins to figure out. Now that the whole thing is setup correctly I can jump on a stream very easily. The microphone also features an audio out which allows me to attach super sleek black ear bud phones, which are normally have too short of a cable to be able to reach my main computer, but reach the microphone perfectly with slack. Also, this microphone has CLIP GUARD which will prevent you from clipping the audio when you get too close to it. This is one of the best features and I was using all kinds of hardware solutions to get this feature, including getting the AudioVox 286s that did this as one of it's features. However, after getting this microphone I ditched the AudioVox product. Finally I want to add that so much hardware was elimiated by using this product. My studio is now way cleaner and the ability to jump on a stream immediatly without messing with settings is the best part of this entire solution. This product could be sold for more money and I would toss it at them. Very sad I didn't discover this product a year ago. So many wasted hours and returned products trying to emulate what this product does out of the box.

Ich höre mich Dank diesem Mikrofon deutlich besser im Discord an, das fand ich nicht nur durch Freunde, sondern auch durch einen Selbsttest raus. Zusätzlich gibt es einen sehr gut funktionalen regler, der deine Stimmlautstäre für die anderen beeinflusst. Das du gestummt bist, bekommt auch keiner mit, durch den hervorragenden Touch Taster, kann das muten komplett ohne Geräusch stattfinden. Nun zur Kritik: Die Software ist meiner Meinung nach nicht so intuitiv und eindeutig gestaltet, jedoch versteht man, nach einer kurzen Auseinandersetzung damit, nahezu jede Funktion der Software. Das USB C Kabel ist nicht gesleeved, also komplett glatt, was meiner Meinung nach nie hochwertig aussieht und sich auch nie wertig anfühlt. Dies sind aber kleinere Kritikpunkte. Ein weiterer kleiner Kritikpunkt sind die Preise für das Zubehör. Pop Schutz und Shockmount, plus einen Original Elgato Mikrofonarm zusammen, erreicht je nach Preislage sogar einen höheren Preis als das Mikrofon selbst. Bei manchen Mikrofonen sind Shockmount und Popschutz im Lieferumfang enthalten oder schon vorinstalliert und somit im Preis einberechnet. Wieso gebe ich dennoch 5 Sterne? Nunja, das Mikrofon selbst tut den Job wie es soll und die Kritikpunkte gehen eher auf die Marke, als explizit auf das Mikrofon ein. Empfehlen kann man dieses Mikrofon samt Soundqualität, Verarbeitungsqualität des Mikrofons und Software dennoch mit einem guten Gewissen.

I owned condenser mics before but this one takes the cake overall. When you consider the usb connectivity, and the wavlink app, then it's really built for a multimedia digital studio. Not to mention its not being bulky and as I mentioned previously, the price. Taming the background noise when used in a normal everyday setting takes some experimentation but it also comes with free apps like noise gate and eq - so it's not at all difficult to come up with a good or even great sound.

Garantisce il monitoraggio della vostra voce in tempo reale tramite connessione con jack da 3.5 mm, integra un filtro anti-pop, tecnologia anti-clip e presenta un filtro che elimina le frequenze più basse. E' inoltre dotato di un software gratuito (scaricabile dal sito del produttore) che permette di interagire con un mixer su schermo, in grado di farci impostare diverse funzioni. Parliamo però di un programma non molto intuitivo, che richiederà diverso tempo prima di poterlo sfruttare come si deve. Il microfono si presenta con una base di metallo molto solida, una piccola asticella e il corpo del microfono che permette di regolarne l’angolazione. Ha una singola manopola in grado di gestire il volume del dispositivo e il volume che sentirete nelle cuffie. Inoltre, sulla parte superiore del microfono è presente un pulsante touch in grado di mutare il dispositivo velocemente. Anche se parliamo di un microfono USB, che quindi è pronto all'uso non appena collegato al PC, Elgato Wave 3 è in grado di eliminare in parte i suoi esterni, permettendo meno disturbi in fase di cattura della voce. Ovviamente non è una soppressione del rumore paragonabile a quella di un microfono XLR, ma rispetto ad altri prodotti e con l'aiuto del software è possibile ottenere buoni risultati. Uno dei difetti maggiori è la dimensione, consiglio di utilizzarlo con un'asta per averlo vicino alla bocca e con il suo Shock Mount (venduti a parte). Il prezzo non lo rende accessibile a tutti, ma la qualità del prodotto potrebbe valere la pena di investire su qualcosa di così performante.
