office chair castors are usually total rubbish even on brand new chairs as mine was! a dreadful and immediately disappointing experience and with it being expensive!! l read about these by chance actually on Amazon and based on reviews l bought some straightaway, delivered early next day, amazing... l shouldn't get this enthusiastic about chair castors, sad as it seems but you will be amazed, really, buy some!! oh and these DO fit all chairs.

Reviewed March 2024: Our home has no carpets, only oak wooden floors and we're a bit precious about them. Wife decided to bring an office chair home for the 2-3 days a week shes working from home, previously was making do with a dining room chair which isn't very ergonomically sound. A previous experience told me that we cannot have the stock wheels on the chair as no matter how hard the wood, the hard plastic will cause damage. Initially we had a mat, but firstly I wasn't comfortable with the idea that the wheels would always stay on, and therefore a risk, secondly it just looked crap, and thirdly not really useful with our underfloor heating. Looked into a few options to replace the wheels/castors. These seems to be sold by several sellers, but these were the best priced, and seem to have enough positive reviews to confirm they will do what's needed. They arrived next day, and they are very similar to the wheels used in rollerblades, with relatively soft (and forgiving) rubbery tyres on on the wheels. Replacing the original hard plastic wheels was easy and tool free. Literally took me a few minutes. Getting the old wheels out was simple, I put the chair on its side (on the sofa) and they came out with a wiggle. Putting the new ones in was easy, again, needed another wiggle to make sure they are fully inserted and held in place. Thats is.. net result are wheels that actually feel smoother and easier to move around. So far, no marks on the carpet (and I've had a close look). Upstairs, in my office, I'm sitting on quite an expensive chair, and I paid a lot (£75) to upgrade to 'wooden floor friendly' wheels. Hindsight, I could have bought these and swapped them over for a lot less.

These were great for my office chair. Good quality. Easy to install, they fit perfectly from the first go. They are so smooth that it is tempting to glide across the floor back and forth :-)

It is great value for money and the tyres are very smooth, but therefore glide to much and so you cannot stay in the same place without moving. The product itself is very sturdy and leaves no scratches on the floor and is quiet. The tyres operate very smoothly.

I recently had all my carpets replaced, and I didn’t even realise that my chair’s traditional plastic wheels could actually ruin them. After doing a lot of research and reading up on how office chairs damage new carpets, I decided to change the wheels and went with these rubber castors. Honestly, I’m so glad I did. These wheels are true carpet saviours. The impact of sitting down and moving the chair is almost zero compared to the old wheels. With the traditional wheels, you can see them digging into the carpet fibres even when the chair is just standing in one place. Over time they leave marks and wear patches. With these replacement wheels, that problem is gone. The chair rolls smoothly without any pressure points, and I can already tell my new carpet is being protected. This is a simple upgrade that can save you from expensive damage. Highly recommended!

Excellent set of wheels, much better than the original wheels supplied with my my very expensive gaming chair. Perfect for use on a carpeted floor.

Having had new carpets fitted, I was reluctant to continue to hide them with a plastic floor protector just so that my office chair would roll. Having read the reviews, these replacement wheels seemed like an ideal solution. They were very easy to fit and rolled very nicely on the plastic floor protector. However, I have tried them on the carpet and they won’t roll at all. It’s not a particularly thick or deep carpet, but the wheels just entrench and refuse to roll. So I’ve had to keep the floor protector in place. The annoying thing is that if these chair wheels roll off the protector, they seem to get caught on the edge of it more than the original wheels did. So all in all, these are doing pretty much the same job as the originals. They would be marginally superior on a hard floor, I’d say, but if your original wheels don’t roll on your carpet, I suspect these won’t either.

Awesome wheels, perfect for a hardwood floor due to their rubberised wheels. The only downside to them is they are FAST! like the chair will fly across the room, out the window and down the road at a mere gentle poke. And trying to sit on the chair can be fun as the chair flies away from you like someone pulled it out from under you. So grab the arm rests first or you'll be sat on the floor wonder what you did with your life. But yeah, worth every penny, they are excellent quality and silent and protect your floors. Buy them!

I bought these to replace the plastic wheels on gaming chair and holy cow, what a difference. These wheels popped right on, have zero drag, are solidly constructed, silent, and they are very responsive with no effort when I push away from my desk. If you have uneven floors, you may find yourself across the room on these. I'll be buying two more sets for my teens

Great wheels that have silenced movement on my chair. My family hasn't heard my chair being moved at all (chairs in my bedroom we have hardwood floors) I even pushed myself down the upstairs hallway in part for science and in part for fun and it ws smooth and still quiet given the exaggerated movement. Great wheels will buy again for my dad's office chair (plastic wheels). Oh and they look great I got the clear wheels with the silver brackets.

I have been wanting these for a while now. My husband got a new chair so I bought two sets of the Rollerblade style wheels ( one set for him and one set for my Steelcase Leap V1 chair.) They were easy to install, the hardest part was getting the old wheels off the chair. The chair rolls quietly and there is no binding when you change direction quickly. They roll smoothly and feel very sturdy and stable. I would highly recommend them as a replacement for those crappy plastic wheels most chairs come with.
