PharMeDoc Contour Memory Foam Pillow w/Cooling Gel Technology - Orthopedic Curved Support Pillow Design and Pain Relief - Hypoallergenic Material - Removable Pillow Cover

I have had this pillow for a month now and have purposefully waited to review it because I wanted to see how I liked it over time. Although I am only 25 years old, I have had neck pain for several years, mainly due to stress. However, I was recently in a car accident which exacerbated by symptoms. Over the years, I have gone to several doctors and have had physical therapy. One thing that I realized that was causing my neck pain to worsen--regardless of medical care--was my pillow. I thought that a big, fluffy pillow would be comfortable, so I tried several filled with feathers and then some filled with cotton. Those flattened out quickly and I woke up with neck pain almost daily. I then tried a couple different memory foam pillows, including those that are specifically designed for neck support. They were better than ordinary pillows, but not good enough for me to say that I was completely satisfied. There a several Tempur-Pedic pillows that I thought about trying, but they are so, so expensive. I didn't want to buy a pillow that cost over $100 and risk it not working for me. I did a lot of online research as to which pillow is best for relieving neck pain, and this PharMeDoc Contour Memory Foam Pillow had great reviews, so I decided to try it.I have been very happy with my purchase so far. I love that there are two different height levels on either side, so you can choose which is best for you. Most nights, I use the smaller side. Especially if I am laying on my back, the larger side causes too much strain to my neck and makes it sore. But some nights, I need more support while side sleeping, and the larger side is perfect for that. Also, I get hot during the night pretty often, so I was intrigued by the cooling gel. The pillow comes with a removable case, which I left on. I also put my own pillow case on top of it for decoration purposes. I cannot feel the cooling gel through the two layers. Perhaps, it would work better if I take the removable case off and just use my pillow case. The memory foam is so comfortable. I've had pillows before that had foam-not memory foam-inside and they are not near as comfortable. When I press my hand down into this pillow, it takes about 5-6 seconds to slowly come back up. It is so plush and comfy because of this memory foam.I still wake up with neck/upper back pain most mornings, but that is kind of inevitable for me at this point. However, this pillow has helped reduce that pain significantly, and I am very grateful for that! I truly look forward to laying down on it after a long, hard day at work.For anyone looking to have extra neck support, I would highly recommend trying this pillow!

I'm usually pretty bad at giving reviews, but I had to give this one because I was so disappointed and disgusted! The pillow itself would've been great. It was exactly what I wanted, with the exception of a very overwhelming moldy/musty smell. You know that smell when you leave a wet towel in a damp a place where it doesn't dry properly? Or an old cabin up in the woods that your grandparents used to own? Yeah, it's that smell. And it's right next to your face, obviously! I received the pillow today, and I have already printed up my return label for tomorrow!

I didnt want the other reviews to be right because I really wanted this to be a good pillow. Unfortunately, the smell is just too much. It's a mix between a chemical and mold smell. I've tried everything possible to get passed the smell amd it's just not possible. For the same price I would much rather go to my local department store and get a pillow that doesnt stink. Please, if you ever ignore a facebook review don't let this be the one. DO NOT BUY THIS PILLOW. YOU WILL REGRET IT.

When I opened up the box and open up the plastic cover that held the pillow it stunk so bad. Smelt like mold and mildew. I washed the pillow case and smell came right out but the pillow itself I have sprayed twice already with Lysol and still smells. How is anyone sposed to sleep with a smelly pillow. This by far is my first bad review for someone as I have always had luck online. Aweful, aweful, PEW!!!!!

I am a slide sleeper and wanted to try a new pillow to see if it would help the back and neck pain that I experience. This pillow just made it worse and also stinks up your bedroom.

I have now used this pillow for two nights in a row, and I am more than pleased with the item. This is yet another morning in which I have woken up without pain in my neck and shoulders. Before I received this pillow, I was dealing with pain every morning and cricks in my neck throughout the day. To be honest the pillows that I had prior were awful, so I feel that anything would have alleviated the pain in some fashion, but this contour pillow specifically makes me sleep more aligned. There is still a little stiffness in the shoulders naturally, but I do not feel the pain that usually accompanied. My neck does not feel tired. Did it keep my face cool? I'm not really sure. I never noticed or cared. Is there a slight odor? Well, yes; its memory foam (what do you expect?), but it goes away eventually. All in all, I'm happy I made the purchase. This was NOT given to me at special discounted price.

I have a tough time sleeping,especially if conditions aren't right for me If its either- Too hot- Can't get comfortable- Pillows aren't provide any support and it feels like im using a cheap throw blanket as a pillowAs well as im prone to episodes of insomnia, so all that combined can m,ake for my sleeping to be unpleasant.As soon as this package showed up, i unboxed it, got it setup and hit the sick and my goodness i fell asleep right away. The cooling gel kept me just right, the support and the memory foam was nice and cozy and i didnt feel like i slept on a box spring.Wish i had grabbed this sooner

This pillow does not work well for people with small frames. I'm 5'5" 125lbs and bought this pillow to help me sleep on my back -- I generally sleep on my stomach which causes me to grind my teeth when I sleep. I tried a similar pillow (but waaaaay more expensive) in a store and thought it felt great for back sleeping, so I decided to give this pillow a try. It does feel high quality and the smell goes away in a few days (air it out, squish it a bit), but when I use it I wake up with neck pain and am uncomfortable at night. I can tell it holds my head/neck too high even on the smaller side.Edit: They do have great customer service. They let me try one of their other pillows which worked a bit better for me. Overall, a great company to try buying from if you're on the edge.

Firm but soft and probably extremely comfortable. Unfortunately, it smells terrible (probably got wet during storage), I've tried washing it but it's not got significantly better. More hassle than its worth.

Le premier soir je me suis empressé de mettre en place mon oreiller et de mettre une taie propre, quand je me suis couché une forte odeur de moisi sortait de celle ci, j'ai cru, un premier temps, que c'était ma taie qui avait été rangée trop humide et qui laissait sentir cette odeur. Le lendemain j'ai remis une taie propre, qui elle sentait bon avant que je l'installe, mais quand je me suis couché la même odeur était encore là. Ce matin (22/04/17) j'ai dé-houssé tout l'ensemble et a ma grande surprise s'était la partie bleu de l'oreiller qui sentait cette odeur incommodante. Sinon pour le confort rien a redire. Comment faire pour enlever cette odeur? J'ai vaporiser, très légèrement, avec mon parfum perso, a voir si cela suffira!!!

Das Kissen richt derart übel nach Formaldehyd.oder ähnlich,dass man unmöglich darauf schlafen und statt erholt zu sein,sogar noch Kopfschmerzen bekommt!-Ich musste das Kissen wieder zurückschicken!

All 'memory foam' items have a distinct 'smell' when you first get them, this is the same, but from experience, it will disappear in a week or so. The memory foam is firm, but not hard & supports the neck very well, it is also a good supportive shape for back & side sleeping. Many supportive memory foam pillows are much smaller than standard size, but this is a normal pillow size, so you are able to move about without 'losing' your pillow!! Not sure about the gel bit yet, as I've only had this a few days. I am constantly hot & I normally use a gel pad on my pillow, so I am used to the cool directly against my skin, with this pillow you have quite a thick, soft cover, so there is no instant cooling effect. I am still using a gel pad on top of the pillow at the moment. However, I was being woken during the night with my old pillow & had to change the gel pad a few times, but that isn't happening now & I'm getting a straight 7 hours sleep. So I am very pleasantly surprised, it would seem that the heat is being 'drawn away'. I am very happy to recommend this pillow

I have re edited after a year of use..foam. stood up v v well. Still as comfy as new. Coolness? Great at first, and was great in cooler weather.once it hits summer and its warm all day/night, it stops working and is hot like normal foam pillows all night.it seems to be losing effective cooling over time too. Any thick cover and it loses cooling too. Yes, a decent pillow but for hot summers no.

Absolutely fabulous pillow, have terribleneck and shoulder pain after a whiplash injury over a year ago, this pillow has been a great help in pain relief for me, its not a miracle pillow but by god it does work in reducing pain and stiffness. Don't hesitate, if you have neck and shoulder problems then just go ahead and buy, you won't be disappointed! As for the smell that a few people comment on, it will ease off after a couple of weeks.

now had this 3 weeks from delivery, I have aired it and hand washed and it still smells of dampness, I shall be looking forward to actually using it!!!!

great as long as you can stay on your side all night. the cool part only stays cool for maybe 5 minutes. It's ok but not as good as it could be. Very firm

das kissen finde ich sehr gut auch die versprochene kühlekommt nach kurzer zeit nur schade das dieses kissen nach schimmelroch oder nach einem alten scheuerlappen auch waren gelbespuren auf dem unterkissenhabe aber schon ein neues bestellt und hoffe das es ein einzellfall war
