An excellent device at a great price!
I absolutely love this device. It is small, lightweight and reliable. The price is much better than comparable devices. I have used it to make numerous very nice time-lapse panoramas. I will add that I do not care much for the app. I think it could have been more direct and user friendly, but with a little practice you can get it to do what you want. Be sure you turn it on before you mount it to the tripod. Otherwise you'll have a hard time finding the on/off switch and activating it.Despite these shortcomings I am giving this 5 stars - an excellent device at a great price!

Good item. Just note that the smooth continuos movement ( setting 10 ) is still quite fast. When you bring down the rate of rotation of movement -the unit operates on discrete steps which suits my purposes for recording choirs and getting different groups of faces every 10 or 20 sec ( u can set any time). The swing back /forth setting is from 15 deg upwards which is perfect. Mightn't suit those who expect a very very slow-smooth continuous pan movement. Integration with app is seamless.

Didn't Work For Me, I would NOT recommend...
One star for the fact that it arrived in working condition. 2nd star for the fact that it did rotate and I used it a few times for some social media posts. 3rd star for good customer service. The problem with this device is that you can program it to rotate 90 degrees and it will work about 3 sweeps, then it will slowly start rotating 100 degrees and if you wait long enough it will be rotating 180 degrees without your subject even in the shot anymore.I am a musician and I used this unit for capturing my concerts. I like to pan the whole area to show the audience and the setting. However, after about 10 minutes my band and I are not in the shot anymore as this device will be off capturing the wrong angle.I will say this company does have good service though. I wrote to them with my problem and they replaced my unit 3 times. I gave up after the 3rd unit.I'm going to try the "TurnsPro -Time Lapse Camera Mount" for $99 now....

Looks cool, but there's no way to use it
There are no buttons other than on/off. There is supposed to be an Android app to control it, which is why I got it, but the App does not exist on Google Play. Went to the Brinno website to download there, and even the link they have on the website doesn't link to anything. So this looks really cool, and I'm sure it would have been perfect.... if there was actually a way to make it do what it is supposed to do.

Works as advertised! More capable than other similar products.
So far, so good. The product works as advertised. Not sure about long term durability. I tend to hike with this product and it would be nice if there were some sort of hard shell case to store the device in so the motor doesn't get damaged from being knocked around in my backpack, but seeing as that hasn't happened yet, I'm completely satisfied with my purchase. Incidentally, I'm using this with an LG G3 running Marshmallow. Also, I found that the easiest way to pair with the device is directly through the Pan Lapse app, rather then going through the Android Settings menu. I don't have the product in front of me right now, but as I recall, best strategy is just to power on the ART200, start the app from your phone, allow bluetooth access when prompted, hit the menu key in the upper left, and select Scan Device. Once you start the program, you can exit the app, or disconnect bluetooth, and the device will continue running autonomously. To change something or to stop the rotation prior to the conclusion of your program settings, you'll obviously have to reconnect. I'll update this review in the future if any problems arise.

It still works w/Android (Sept 2018) via .APK download from their site
See image to see how to make this thing work. I'll skip past the lack of response and general horribly confusing nature of having to do detective work to get this product functioning. In fact, I was just boxing it up to send it back and thought I'd try one more thing. Nothing on the product page links to this, but there is a download link on the support page of their site that allows you to download the Android .apk, since it is no longer on the play store and neither of the other two Brinno apps work with this item. You can still get the iOS app BUT after installing it on my iPad the Brinno device would not show up in available Bluetooth devices.Pros:- It fit my phone with normal sized case on it. I do not think the phone clamps would open up far enough for rugged cases.- It seems well built, but still is reasonably light weight and portable.Cons:- As mentioned, the manufacture has made setup way more difficult than necessary. Frankly, it is lazy and inconsiderate to make consumers go hunt down ways to make it work. Worse that they are unresponsive and I had to essentially do their job by telling you all how to find the right app and get it to work.- I am still considering returning it as I fear they will not be keeping the product up to date with future OS upgrades.- On off switch is kind of hard to use, but that keeps it from accidentally going on or off I suppose.I will try to update after I've used it more.

The Brinno ART2000 does pretty much everything I expected of it in a satisfactory manner.

Works like a champ!
I'm so impressed by this little guy! The app integrates fantastically with it. I use it to mount a camera and place the unit in the middle of a rehearsal room. As the camera rotates 360, it captures and records the video and audio of my band practicing. We use the video as a training tool to to see and hear what we should improve. This device ensures everyone is in the video.

I would buy this item again because it just performs so well. Highly recommended!!!!
I am very pleased with the performance of this device! No problems connecting with Bluetooth on my iPhone, It's easy to program, a joy to work with. The action is very smooth my time lapses are awesome! The batteries last forever too. I couldn't be more pleased. I am beginning to suspect the poor reviews i read are from the competition LOL! Honestly this thing performs better than expected. I work in IT and I see a lot of people with BT issues. I suspect the problems they have are because of user error. I would buy this item again because it just performs so well. Highly recommended

Bit pricey but worth it
This is brilliant, controls by the iphone make it a dream setting it up. Expensive but worth it for the results

Splendido!
