Sierra ComfortBasic Hydraulic Stool

I purchased this stool for seating in my studio in front of my computer and console.It is all that I was expecting and just as promised.I've never owned a more expensive stool, so I have no comparisons to make, but this one seems to work just fine!It was easy to assemble with no problems with fit or functionality.The rollers have a rubberized texture. They roll just fine on a hard surface. They do not roll quite as well on cushy carpet.The padding on the seat is generous and comfortable. Most of the padding is a very firm foam, but the top layer is a little softer. The firm foam is supportive, but not cushy. I'm happy with that because I don't want it to break down over the years.The top layer is softer. My only comment about this top layer is that it seems to be bunching up or something. The top layer of my seat is no longer absolutely flat. It's sortof slightly lumpy, as if the soft material just under the leather-like seat cover has wrinkled up.This does NOT affect the comfort or functionality of the stool. It may just be my own backside that caused this.Anyway, I'm perfectly happy with my stool and I would purchase it again at this point if I needed a new one. The price was right. I will update if I have any trouble.

I'm using this chair in a studio where I'm doing airbrushing work. Sometimes I like to get lower to the floor than most chairs will go, and at other times i may be working on a something where more height is needed. This was a great, low cost solution. I bought it because there were enough reviews to feel like there were 'real' and I wasn't disappointed. It's clearly NOT designed for NASA and the price reflects that. I would say that it's quality is at the top of the range you'd expect at this price, and a lot better than most things at this price. My chair arrived intact, no missing parts. Installation is super easy: push on the wheels (30 seconds), flip over drop the post into the base, (3 seconds), and put seat on top of post (3 seconds). No screws, or tools needed. The seat is decently stitched and looks like it will last for awhile. I'm right around 190 lbs and it didn't even groan or squeak when I sat on it. The seat was actually larger than I expected and more comfortable than I expected.

I needed a seat for my sewing studio that could easily roll and swivel, fit under the table out of the way, and (very important for me) go lower than 18" from floor to seat top. I'm 5'5" tall but the distance from the bottom of my heel to the back of my knee (so, from floor to seat height) is only 17" and I didn't want to have to wear shoes in my own home to be comfortable on my chair! This stool is reasonably sturdy - slight wobble if I sit waay off center but not bad - rolls easily on my low-pile carpet, swivels very smoothly, seat pad is firm but not uncomfortable, and is just the right height for me. Very easy to assemble. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the slight wobble and the sense that the seat and pad could be made out of higher quality materials; but this is really good for the price.

I am a LMT that runs a mobile business. I purchased this stool because of the price, and it looked like a good product. I noticed that one review said the stool didn't swivel, but thought I'd try it out anyway.The chair arrived a day early. It was super simple to put together. It's a very good product that's easily transportable. I have no problem getting in in and out of my vehicle, or my clients houses.The stool is way better quality than I thought it would be. It cleans very easy after each use. It's comfortable it sit in and work on. The best part is, it does swivel!Overall it's a great product with a great price! I highly recommend this product!

I use this in my photo studio. It's made a big difference in my comfort and efficiency. I'm tall, so I use it at its full height, which is fine, though I wouldn't mind a bit more height. It is comfortable to sit on. The foam seems solid enough without being hard. I've used it for a few months; it's holding up fine so far. It rolls easily. In fact, if you try to sit a bit off to the side, it can roll out from under you easily. That's the only thing to be careful about. It was very easy to assemble. The adjustment lever is out of the way and works easily and smoothly. All-in-all, it's just what I wanted for scooting around the studio, such as between camera and tethered laptop.

The pros: Assembly was easy and the seat does swivel. I opted for a stool to put at my home desk because it slides under the desk and saves floor space. The material and stitching both seem to be of good quality. The wheels have a nice coating that seems to move well on wood flooring and I don’t think it’ll scratch over time.The 1 big Con: My work has stools that are very firm so from the reviews I thought that I’d be okay with this stool but it’s not firm, it’s hard. Like sitting on a wooden board. I think it’ll be fine with a cushion but I could’ve spent a little more for better quality and not had to buy a cushion. Not sure why anyone would use this padding for a stool

Very nice stool, arrived in working order, comfy too. The only difference from the picture is that the wheels are black and white (they have a white circle around the border of the wheel). No biggie for me, not sure if some people would prefer all black wheels, though.

Ordered this after I read about it in the Mighty magazine. The Mighty is a magazine featuring articles and items for people in chronic pain. I trusted the magazine and Amazon. It arrived quickly and easy to put together. But it was horrible to sit on. Not the seat. The wheels...they don't roll like ball bearing, metal wheels. I couldn't move. The wheels did nothing. Would not roll anywhere. And I am under the 225 pound limit. So back it goes...except we can't get it apart to mail it back and I have NO idea who to contact w/re to this. I've requested a refund, but will I get that even though I can't repackage the item? Help.
