Great for price, Sloppy finish
This vanity is great for the price. It's solid wood, looks pretty, and is only a little short for someone 5'7 with a tall toso. I can adjust the mirror though to still see my face. I think it would be perfect for someone under 5'5. It assembles really well, and it's obvious that it will be easy to dis and reassemble when I move. This would be great for a student or someone who is going to be moving a lot, I would have loved this in college. the drawer doesn't pull out all the way, but it is 11"L x 18"W x 2"H, so it SHOULD hold a standard laptop, haven't tried with my mac book yet though. The table is the same height as my boyfriend's computer desk, so it should work well as a workstation too. I bought this mainly as a vanity, but also so I could use it to work from home when I need too. Looks very pretty, off white in color. It was packaged really well, so I would not be worried about it breaking while shipping. There where holes drilled for the mirror as well, so no worries about that. Now for the bad. It is obviously sloppily constructed. There are some places where there are drips in the finish, and where the wood wasn't cleanly cut. Though a lot of these imperfections are on the underside of the table, so not apparent to the naked eye. Some of the details aren't on flush either, though I am fairly confident they won't fall off. Definitely not an heirloom piece. The fabric on the bench wasn't centered, I plan on reupholstering it. Still looks cute though. All in all, I am happy with my purchase. I wanted a cute, multifunctional small vanity for my apartment, and something that could be moved easily. There are some flaws sure, but they are well hidden enough that I'm not concerned. You get what you pay for, but it lacks in quality in areas that don't matter that much to me. The fact that it is solid wood is a huge plus to me, as I feel it wears better. Not recommended for someone heavy, but great for petite young women and perfect for little girls. I plan on giving this to my niece when I can afford a higher quality one.I found more reviews on walmart.com. bought if from here because this was the best price.

Can't recommend this enough!!!!
Honestly, there are some not so great reviews on this product, which made me really hesitant to buy it. However, after looking through all the options on Amazon and other websites for a vanity, I settled on this one. I wish that I could give this vanity set MORE than five stars. I am 29 years old, 5'2 and 198 pounds. I can sit on the vanity chair with absolutely no issues, whatsoever. It hasn't so much as wobbled. I put this together myself, and while it was a bit of a pain to screw the base of the chair into the upholstered top, that was just because it needed a little more elbow grease than I am used to putting out. The directions were easy to understand (although I did put the vanity mirror support pieces on backwards at first--it was easy to tell once I tried to put it on the vanity tabletop since the pieces didn't line up very well. Even that was an easy fix. I just unscrewed the fixtures, flipped them, and it was good to go.), but I did things slightly differently. The directions seem to tell you to screw the seat to the base of the vanity chair while it is standing upright. I had a really hard time even getting the pegs to align while having it that way and would NEVER have had the strength to screw UPWARDS into the upholstery and also not dropping the screw in my face. I turned the base and the seat upside down and screwed it in facing down, making sure I tightened the screws as much as possible without cracking the wood on the base. I DID accidently break one of the screws in half, but I think that was my own fault--I probably didn't have it perfectly straight in the hole.Everything came perfectly finished and fully protected in Styrofoam. It came when it said it would. It wasn't missing any pieces. It was easy to put together (and I am not exactly a handy girl). I have used it multiple times and have had zero issues. Being blind without my glasses, I did buy a separate lighted mirror from SKON with a 7x magnifier so I can do my make-up. That's about the only downside--the mirror is too far away, but that would be a problem with ANY vanity, and it isn't the vanity's fault.I would post pictures, but I have them on my cell phone. I will try to upload later. For anyone who is on the fence because of the negative reviews, give this set a try! I am picky and I love it!

Perfect style match for Target's Shabby Chic bedroom suite, BUT....
Perfect style match for Target's Shabby Chic bedroom furniture suite, however, the color of the vanity set is way too yellow; not the "white" that is posted. Bought Behr's Cottage White satin enamel and painted the whole vanity set for a perfect match to the Target furniture set- took only a hour to do all pieces. Assembled the set first, then paint went on very easily and covered in one coat - used a foam brush and roller for no streaks. One could do the paint job with only the sample size (x 2) of paint, for a lower cost. Drawer depth is only 2 inches, so most little organizer trays will not fit well - need to use a beauty supply organizer tray inside the drawer. When I started to assemble the vanity unit, directions say to remove the drawer to access the corner bolts in the table top. When I tried to do that, the drawer track guide broke into 3 pieces - my bad. Found a replacement at Lowes (not avail at Home Depot) for $2; bring the track guide with you for exact measurement if yours broke too. Also provided is a wall bolt kit to prevent tipping of the vanity - important if you have children around. All in all, a lot of extra work, but I finally have exactly what I want.
