A meditation on love of self and others!
As a speech-language pathologist, I love Positive Me! as a self-talk tool. One of the most important issues arising in the literature is the need for positive self-talk for all children. That sounds like such a worthy goal but how do we teach children this crucial skill? This book is a great start! The book uses the framework of the alphabet to run through first person definitions of self-talk. The illustrations are poignant, whimsical and profound! The pages vary from broad busy scenes at the park to the tiny perspective of a bee. They go from obvious to contemplative. Every page offers a surprise for the mind and the eye. The book is a meditation on self-love and love of others.

Fantastic addition to your child's at-home library!
This book is a great (and fun!) resource for children and parents alike to promote positive self talk and allow children to grow in their own unique way. The tools in Positive Me! help children and their parents navigate a world that can be challenging and harsh at times, using self compassion and self awareness. The writing is imaginative, easy to understand and creative, and the illustrations are bright and colorful and coordinate perfectly with the text. Positive Me! is a fantastic addition to your child's at-home library -- you'll go back and read it together again and again!

Wonderful gift for any child!
This book is so simple yet so important. It starts children off with positive affirmations that will stay with them throughout life. I bought this for my little niece and nephew but wish we had the book when my teens were little. It’s a tough world for the older kids these days and this is the perfect gift to start young ones thinking positively about themselves.I highly recommend this book for anyone wanting a simple book that will teach their children some of the most important words they will ever learn. The precious pictures make it fun to read together! It makes a great gift too. :)

I am grateful.
From the message of self-compassion to the beautiful illustrations, I truly love all of this children’s book. We live in a world full of sharp edges and I’m grateful there’s a book that can reaffirm the message to our children that love, gratitude, empathy, and so much more are inside of us all and that we are deserving of it. (And I know some adults who could use this reminder as well!) I can’t wait to gift this to all the little ones in my life!

An awesome book that enables empathy and understanding!
This book touches on the abc’s of feeling good brilliantly. And it’s not just feeling good, it gives kids (and adults) words to express all their feelings in a positive way. A great tool for communicating with your child as well as for kids to talk to each other. Knowing that all the feels and emotions are real and have a place in everyone’s lives creates more empathetic beings all around. Thankful this is available for all our little and not so little ones.

Must have for all kids big and small!
Positive Me is a new must have for your kids' bookshelf! Considering the current climate of the world we live in today and the alarming rise of depression in children, this book is a much needed addition to all libraries. One of the ways to recognize, promote, and sustain optimism, hope, and joy is to intentionally fill our thoughts with positive self-talk! It's something most of us recognize to implement as adults, but even more important to practice with our children.

Provides children the vocabulary they need to speak kindly to themselves
Starting kids young in breaking the cycle of negative self-talk is a tremendous gift. It's hard to start this on your own, and hard to think up all the different compliments one might say to yourself, but this book gives 26 lovely ways to start. I love that these are outside the box and a nice way to teach your child skills for a lifetime of healthy thoughts.

Much needed book!
This book is wonderful. It addressed a very important topic in a way that children can understand. It's so important that children develop a strong foundation and understanding of self-esteem. My child is in the 4th grade and this book was perfect because she was challenged to learn new words and apply them to feelings that she may not otherwise have been able to identify on her own. I recommend this book!
