Easy Binding
I’ve purchased this receiver multiple times to use with my Taranis QX7 Access Transmitter. It bound easily every single time and I have not had a single issue.

You will likely need to flash the most updated software from frsky's website on the R8 Pro receiver
Out of the box, the receiver was not registering with my Taranis X9D+ transmitter. Following up on a tip from a review on this thread, I downloaded from Frsky's website the latest update software for the R8 Pro receiver. I flashed it via the Smart port via the provided wire. What I do not like from FrSky:1. Products shipped with outdated software that do not register/bind. You need to Google to figure out why.2. User manual that does not even provide the channel assignments. You need to think to look into Archer SR8 Pro manual for those; they are the same as with the R8 Pro.3. Badly written user manual that contain typos; at times, bad English!4. Non existent customer service. For troubleshooting, you have to Google a lot.

No useful documentation - even Google is of no help. (Updated)
I bought this receiver to pair with my FrSky Taranis XD9+ 2019 w/ Access transmitter, thinking that the two would integrate well. That was in May. Could not have been more mistaken. I have been unable to register or bind this receiver with the transmitter, at all. None of the "how-to's" on the web address this specific receiver, and no help is available on FrSky's website, either. Can't even find a way to flash the receiver, since all avenues end up with the all too familiar "No response from receiver" messages.Who even supports these things? I would really like to know. Until then, this is a $40 hole in my wallet.UPDATED: Changed rating from a 1 to a 2. Discovered an obscure source of help and, with some experimentation, was able to finally get this receiver to work with my transmitter. I followed the lead of a YouTuber named "Oscar" who stated that either the receiver OR the transmitter may need updates. I dug around and updated my (barely) year old transmitter. Restarted them both and that finally did the trick.Kudos to Oscar for the leads. I still can't believe FrSky has no viable support system in place for their products, other than to send it in for repair. No help at all, FrSky.
