An actual Bluetooth 5.0 device.
I didn't have high hopes for this because of so many dongles that have been listed on Amazon as BT 5.0 that absolutely were not. This one is. In Windows it connected just fine and I could pair to it the way I did with the older 4.0 devices. I can't verify the range because of the number of other radio devices in the area of my PC that conflict with reception.Reliable and works as it should. Thanks for selling a true 5.0 BT device.

Do you trust the drivers?
Once I installed the drivers, it works like a charm!I was concerned about installing the software since my computer’s CD drive was not working and the Dropbox link doesn’t work anymore. Luckily I was able to find a link on another version of Amazon (Australia I think?)I’ll dock it a star based on that, and also the idea of installing random drivers from a foreign retailer via Dropbox link lol….I’m no expert but I did take the time to try to find out what we’re installing. It looks like a version of Realtek BT driver, but one that doesn’t exist on their website anymore. I saw some references to this version on GitHub referring to other Bluetooth related things. I concluded (weakly) that this was reasonable to install. Nothing bad so far, but we’ll see.Once again, now that it works, it is great! Sound quality is good, and the range is the best BT device that I own.

Nice when it works
I gave 3 stars because it acts like a bluetooth device; doesn't go through anything solid and turns itself off all the friggin time. If I don't use it for a couple days, I have to go into device manager and uninstall, then find new devices to re-install to get it to work. It also won't work if it's plugged into the back of the PC. It has to be line of sight. I needed it for some headphones for work or I sure as hell wouldn't have gone with a Bluetooth device.

Works well after installing drivers
I am fortunate to have a CD-ROM player on my desktop computer. This is important because the Windows drivers don't seem to be available to download (crazy in 2020).This little BT5.0 dongle has much better range than the other cheap dongle I was using which was BT4.0, this allows me to walk throughout my house wearing my Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones and only have brief glitching as I get far away.

Better than expected
I purchased an interior board prior to this option for three times the price. Fortunately, the first item did not work and was returned because I probably would not have bought this one. Extremally easy to install. Once you plug it into your USB port and install the driver you are hooked up and running. No problems great signal and easy connection to device.

Fantastic, You need to download the driver.
Great, works with every device I have tried it on that is windows. I struggled for a while because I assumed that windows auto BT driver would work but it will never find devices, once I downloaded and installed the driver it worked perfectly, great range and transfers at a decent rate, not the best 5.0 speeds possible but for audio it is perfect!

make shure u get the driver from the cd to use for ps4 controlelr
just because windows 10 detects it dont mean itle work with everything without the driver from the cd but once thats installed everything works perfictly so if needed do what i did go somewhere that has a laptop or pc with a disk drive and copy the files to a flash drive then bring back to pc and install then if it still dont work like me put the files where u can locate goto device manager choose bluetooth and manual install and manually goto the driver folder in it and install it from there thats why i give it 4 starts a lil to much work but it does work

Very inexpensive and probably the best Bluetooth option available for PC
Highly recommend this Bluetooth 5.0 adapter for your PC. It's much more responsive than 4.0 and you can't beat the price.

Windows ONLY
Although my windows 10 install detected the adapter I did update the drivers from the included mini-CD. So far, everything appears to be working as it should. I was using a generic 4.0 BT adapter previously, so that's my point of comparison. I use the adapter with bluetooth headsets (usually a Sony MDR-X650BT) so again I have a solid point of comparison.Construction of the adapter was better than my older generic 4.0 which was clearly made of a grade or two cheaper plastic. You can see through it to a blue LED, though. Its a bit bigger thanConnection to the new adapter was quick and painless. But it was the same with the older 4.0.Sound quality. I've noticed no difference between the two, or if there is a difference it is very slight.Range. Not scientific, but the old 4.0 had a pretty short range (versus say my iPhone or Samsung Android based phones) - basically you had to be within about 15 feet or you got sound cutouts. The new one appears to be a longer range than my old - maybe 20-25 feet or so. So not a huge difference but it appears to be there.

Warning! Not Compatible with Windows 10x64 as claimed... If you've updated windows, don't buy this!
Cannot install the device. Not compatible with Windows 10 x64. No drivers available and the enclosed disk simply installs something that doesn't work.

I Barely Got It To Work!! 3 Stars For Effort!!
First day I bought I got it to work but only for 2hrs. Then it took me a week to get this thing to work again then I finally cracked the code after tinkering with it for almost a week. The disk that came with it won't allow me to install drivers. Keeps saying "there are unauthorized bluetooth adapter in your system". So what I did is I had to go in device manager and uninstall the same driver that got installed by plugging my dongle into my computer "Realtek Bluetooth 5.0" Because remember the drivers on the disk does not work on windows 10 only the drivers on the dongle. If you somehow get it to work on windows 10 Merry Christmas to you. Then after it installed Realtek Blutooth 5.0 I had to uninstall it in device manager and plug back in my dongle again so it can reinstall the driver. Bottom line is this dongle will might be a gamble for you. For some people it works for some people it does not work. If I were you I would go with a well known brand like ASUS. That has support where you can go on their website and download the usb dongle drivers or get help. If you do buy hopefully you get it to work. The dongle works better than the bluetooth 4.0 in my 2016 laptop. I use for PS4 controller for PC gaming and my bluetooth speakers

Rated for Bluetooth 5.2, no issues
I paired this with some new Bluetooth 5.0 headphones and have had no issues SO FAR. I installed the Realtek driver from the google drive link in the description and did not have any issues. This was on Windows 10x64. There's a review on here from a guy that says its not compatible with that but he doesn't know what he's talking about. Shows an active blue LED light while running which some could find annoying but I have it plugged in the back of the PC so it's not an issue. I look forward to being fully wireless going forward as far as headsets go.

Cheap, GREAT range. Get this one!
I bought another $10 cheapy USB bluetooth but had range issues. I have a small apartment but my headphones would cut out in the kitchen, and the also cheap USB receiver I have hooked up to my stereo on the other side of the room would do the same thing. This receiver works all over my house, even in the bathroom with the door shut. If you're looking for a super cheap USB dongle, this is the one.
