Simple - it works
I have had a couple of these Airlink USB Wi-fi dongles for about a year and a half now. I can say that they have worked perfectly well with no operational hiccups or installation problems. They are 2.4GHZ n- or g- or b- only, does not receive on 5 ghz band. Other than that there's not much to say. Low price and it works as claimed.

almost killed my computer
Bought this based on all of the glowing reviews posted. The adapter worked well for 10 minutes, then quit. The software no longer worked, and the unit itself would not hold a signal. Better yet, a black screen before XP booted up telling me the CPU was too hot and directing me to hit F2 for a list of non-relevant set-up options. Thankfully, this has gone away after uninstalling the airlink software and system-restoring back a day. Entirely disappointed, still not sure my Vaio is in one piece. Would give it zero stars if I could. Wish I hadn't bought it.

CAUTION
Be careful of the model AWLL6077. It is 2 3/4 inches long and protrudes enough to get bumped often. Bumping it with a pencil cup holder, mine broke into pieces.

A Decent device that will get you by
May not be the fastest thing but it gets the job done at a tolerable speed, if you can call 2 - 4Mb/s up and down speeds tolerable. This seems to be a standard speed with this device regardless of how close or far away you are from the router. Though if you have long enough Ethernet cables, 9/10 times, you should opt for a direct connection. It's a bit awkward to have this thing sticking out of your PC but it's helpful as a convince wifi device if your PC doesn't have one and running an Ethernet cable is a little impractical.

Works great!!!
I just started with the latest downloaded drivers(didnt bother with the CD that it came with)On XP, install the drivers, reboot, plug it in, and enjoy wireless broadband! Now I did setup my encrypted connection on my router first(so it was ready and I had the key).Just had to input the required info for my network.this was my first time dealing with wifi and it worked great first try using the supplied setup software.Would definitely buy again!EDIT:After more use I realized that the range aint that great, ok within a room or 2 away but after 20+feet the signal really drops off. Like I said before, great at short range.

not product I wanted
I only got 150Mps but that was way better than my built in g at 54Mps on my computer. usb extension included in the box really make the difference. cheap price and fast shipping made it a great value. found out today that they are selling this and it only gets 150Mps. THE AWLL6080 IS THE ONE THAT GETS 300MPS. WOULD LIKE MY MONEY BACK WITH SHIPPING FOR FALSE ADVERTISING. on may 21, I got a full refund. was told by Deal Barn that amazon does writeup for products. THEREFORE, I would deal with Deal Barn again as they did right by me. NOTE: check other sites before ordering from amazon to make sure writeup on product is correct.

Easy to use
Since buying this product I had to buy another wireless adapter for my desktop computer. This product was by far the better of the two (the other one was so bad i can't remember the name). This one was easy to install and had my desktop computer very quickly on the internet. If i had to complain about something it would be that the signal was a little weak through walls, but i suppose this is because i went with a cheaper adapter instead of one of the heavier duty ones.

So Far So Good
The device is performing as expected so far. I would say it is well worth the price. I have paid a lot more in the past for similar devices from linksys and have had numerous issues with them. This performs excellent and is cheaper than those. Great value for money.
