Firstly, I would suggest monitoring the price because it seems to change every day.Secondly, I have to say it is very comfortable. You don't seem to realise how uncomfortable your old mattress was. It's a hybrid mattress with springs and memory foam so you would expect a very comfortable mattess - and it's made in Britain.The mattress only has one way up but you are advised to swap top and bottom regularly. I was very surprised that there were no handles on the side of the mattress, which would have made things easier when you change the mattess round.As for returns., well, apparantly the mattress has to be returned in the original packaging which is impossible after you unpack the mattess. It comes rolled up tightly and there's no way of getting it in the bag again. In other words, if you discover damage then you might not be able to return it. I did wonder if any of the springs were damaged when it was rolled up in the factory. You wouldn't know until you unpack it and by then it is too late. Happy to say my mattress had no damage.It is worth bolting on the unpackaging and waste removal for £4. I assume whoever unpacked it would carry it up the stairs, because it is quite heavy.Also, you really need to leave sleeping on it for twenty-four hours so it can unroll properly.Worth also considering the £10 charge for removing the old mattress. Our council charges £35 to pick the old mattress up. My son has a van and tried to dump the old mattress in the recycling centre but they wouldn't let him in with a van. He called my wife and she stopped what she was doing and went to the recycling centre. My son placed the mattress on the roof of my wife's car, and only then the staff let her in. There was a bewilderd look on the staff faces as we got around that restriction. Problem solved at no extra cost.If you don't have access to a vehicle to recycle the old mattress then I really would recommend paying the tenner and getting the delivery guy to take the old mattress away. So, for an extra £14, all the rubbish is taken care off.If I was ordering this again, and i will do to buy a new single mattress, then I would pay the extra £14. As for the warranty and returns, you really need to decide for yourself.

Update July 2023 So happy with my mattress I have bought another one for my spare room!I have waited two weeks after receiving my Summerby mattress before writing this review!I was sleeping badly, had neck and back pain with my Silentnight miracoil mattress!Read the positive reviews about the Summerby mattress and decided to order one!It arrived within 3 days and it was MUCH heavier than I thought and required two people to get it up the stairs!I waited 24 hours before sleeping on it as suggested in the leaflet delivered with the mattress!I slept right through the night on my first night and woke up with no aches and pains! I can’t explain how delighted I am! I’ve continued to sleep soundly since!It’s true that the edges of the mattress are very soft but I bought this to sleep on not to sit on!!!I can’t recommend it enough!Yours very happily! Deb

Have had for about 1.5 years now, is very comfortable and we get a very good night's sleep so fine in that regard. As others have said not much support on the edges but we only really notice this if actually sitting on the edge. The only issue we have is that the mattress seems shorter than advertised, width and thickness are OK but lengthwise not 200cm but about 194cm, have had to use pillows at the foot end to act as a wedge to stop it moving around as top edge was beginning to fray against the head board.

I took a bit of a risk as I had never heard of this company, the mattress is pretty decent to lie on and from the first night it seemed okay, I don't sleep well anyway so my lack of sleep is probably nothing to do with the mattress. My only one concern is that the springs are very obvious on the sides, you can feel them quite clearly, there is no padding around them. The mattress edges are very soft, I can't detect any support on the edges. Overall I think it's okay as I got it on offer, I don't know how well it will last though.

I absolutely love this mattress and there’s honestly not one thing to complain about! It’s so comfy and I just don’t want to get out of bed in the morning!I love how you sink into the foam layers but get the support not to sink in too far with the individually cased springs below the foam.Needed aired out for 24 hours before use but this wasn’t an issue for me as we have a spare room which we left it in overnight. The chemical smell wasn’t that strong to begin with anyway to be honest.At £169.99, I was very cautious and was prepared to be disappointed but I can honestly say now that I love the mattress and I feel it’s been one of the bargains of a lifetime!I highly recommend this mattress to anybody who’s old mattress is worn and uncomfortable, I doubt you’d be disappointed. All round A++ for this mattress, well done Summerby! 😌

Decent quality mattress, reasonably firm, not so stiff around the edges so don’t get to close or you will fall out, doesn’t cover this in the star rating descriptions, ok item

Unrolled really easy but no instructions or guidance on how long to leave before use which would have been nice.Took several days to really feel like it had bounced back properly.Seems a bit short and doesn't reach the end of our bed frame, hence it lost a star.Lovely firm mattress, perhaps a bit firmer and deeper than I expected so very luxurious feel. The other half likes it and when he gets up during the night I no longer feel him getting out of bed, that's how supportive this mattress is.Very happy with this for the price. Much better than my previous, more expensive, mattress.

This mattress relieved the back pain that I was suffering from it is semi firm as I asked for. The customer service at Summerby is excellent and very quick. The delivery and haul away service was on time and only took minutes. 👍
