These did not work for my daughter. She's 5 and we just needed them for the shower. She has a blown ear drum and needs to keep it dry. This type of covering just did not work. We ended up with the Christmas tree looking ones from our local drug store.

I've never had an earplug that didn't leak to some extent. The good news is that these are the best earplugs I've tried throughout the years. Using a medical grade silicone, these mold nicely to your ears.Unfortunately, there were not instructions on what to do to form the earplug. But, after a couple of minutes it was easy to determine. If you think of those foam sound deadening earplugs you've probably used in the past, these are somewhat similar in what to do.These gel earplugs are similar (to those foam sound plugs) just a bit stiffer. I found that the more I kneaded the plug between my fingers e easier it was to form a shape. Once softened, I then molded and shaped them into a come-like shape. I placed the cone point in to my ear as far down as it would go, and then gently, pushed the remaining part of the cone into the ear. I can see where it might be difficult to do this on someone else, since I really have to go by feel as I placed these in my ears.As far as falling out, I wear a swim cap. The swim cap helps keep any kind of ear plug in your ear. I'm also a lap swimmer, so diving in and out of the Pool is not part of my forte.Disclaimer: I received this product at discount in exchange for my personal review.I found these silicone plugs to easily mold to my ears and remained there in a tight fit. I am a lap swimmer and wear a swim cap , and the cap helps keep the swimmer's ear plugs in.

I should have paid attention to the previous reviews.These "ear plugs" are a joke.I luckily received this product at a discount in exchange for an honest review.
