Anja has a way of keeping learning German fun and productive at the same time. She puts her heart into her work, and it shows. This book definitely NOT an 08/15-book *give it a read and you'll know what that means :)* . I found it easy to assimilate and full of giggles. Further, should I ever get to make that cruise on the Rhine, I expect to find information like this quite useful.If you're trying to get your head around German, it's well worth your while to drop a couple bucks on at least the Kindle edition of this. You won't regret it.

I've seen her videos on youtube and wanted to contribute to her channel by purchasing her book. The book has some interesting idioms.

As a German speaker, I really appreciate this book. You can literally go your entire life without hearing any of these idioms here in the US. That's why the book was refreshing; suddenly I was reading things I hadn't heard for decades!It even included (to my supprise) one I use often, especially in today's world. "Er hat einen Vogel/Hast du einen Vogel?" Transaltion (lit) He has a bird./Do you have a bird? The idiom means, He's crazy./Are you crazy?If you enjoy the German language, and/or German idioms, I would highly recommend this book.

This is a short book but filled with amusing idioms and useful whether you're a beginner or already know some German. Pay close attention when you're warned that something is vulgar.

Anja Winter has an exceptional talent for teaching German in a fun and interesting way and her sense of humor shines through every page of this lovable little book. You will certainly have some good chuckles while you are learning Deutsche on your lunch break at work or lounging at home. Let's hope that she writes more books!

Helps you to sound more like a native German speaker, when you can use these idioms in your conversations. Entertaining and funny. Enjoyable easy read. Great illustrations too. Highly recommended. The author is a great teacher!

I bought this e-book as a faithful subscriber on Anja"s YouTube channel. I love her channel, I love her work, the dedication and immense efforts she invests to help us learn the German language.About the e-book: I have no doubt that is a wonderful and very useful one - though I could not yet read it :(. Unfortunately the Amazon e-reader I have, a Kindle Paper White II (which is probably one of the most popular on the market) it is not compatible with this e-bookm as I have been told after purchase. Unfortunately this has not been made known at the time of purchase, which in my opinion it would have been to be expected given the popularity of this e-reader on the market. The refund solution it is not what I want as I need the book; another technical solution has not been offered to me. Now - as I am convinced that I am not the only one confronting himself with this problem: how have you guys solved the problem? Any help in this respect would be highly appreciated. Thank you very much in advance!.......................Meanwhile a solution has been found. I opened the book via cloud from my laptop. Not quite the same (mobility wise) but still. Excellent book. Well-written with knowledge and humour. Easy to understand and apply the information given. The cartoons make the learning experience easy and enjoyable. Also, the cover is well-designed and is made of high quality paper.
