Good optics, poor controls
While the display quality of this monitor is good, Asus designers did a poor job of designing the user controls. The hardware switches that must be accessed to change monitor settings are bunched together under the monitor edge and they are completely misaligned with the display menus. That means that when pressing the button that selects a function, you are actually pressing a different function. It's like using a poorly designed ATM or gasoline pump user interface with the physical buttons and display information misaligned -- only much much worse with this monitor. Controlling this monitor is like playing tennis in bathroom slippers. The other design miss is that this monitor will not allow default inputs to be specified. I use HDMI and VGA inputs for various devices connected to this monitor. The monitor defaults to HDMI and will ignore VGA input, unless the HDMI port is unplugged. I would not purchase this again.

Very upset with this monitor, maybe I got a lemon?
Pro's:It's bigGot it for a good priceCon's: Unhappy with out of box color reproduction.Has a bad green hue out of the box.The monitors color calibration options don't work right changing anything always looks horrid.(use your GPU calibration setting instead)The vivid pixel mode is a joke. The brightness/contrast out off the box is WAY to high.None of the presets for "Splendid" mode are good. The blue light filter is always kinda on even at 0 making for red tinted whites and graysOther thought:After Fiddling with setting for a few hours I got it looking okay(just okay), maybe I got a lemon but I thought IPS panels are supposed to have great color reproduction, I have a few years old Samsung Syncmaster s27b350 that's a TN panel and its way more color accurate. going to try calling Asus customer support and see if they can help me.

Okay but not great.
Meh, the monitor is okay for what it is. However, being a fairly large monitor and only 1080p the image is quite grainy. Also I bought two of these and they are two totally different pictures. Regardless of settings, I cannot get these two monitors to have the same picture.. One is much "warmer" than the other and I have tried just about every conceivable combination of settings in an effort to make them have the same picture with no luck. I wish I would have bought the 4k version and am seriously considering selling these two and purchasing the 4k. If you're considering this monitor, just bite the bullet and get the 4k, you'll thank yourself later... Trust me.

Not great but OK for the price
Decent overall. But there is some light bleed in three corners, particularly in the lower left. I was able to mitigate this somewhat by gently pressing on the bezel and back of monitor. It’s also recommended by some sources to apply light pressure to the surface with a microfiber cloth. Haven’t tried that yet, but frankly neither “remedy” should be necessary, though maybe expected from a sub $200 27-incher.

Great monitors
I purchased 2 of these monitors and have had a great experience with them. I use them everyday for work and have had no problems. The one thing I would recommend is to check on a 1440p version. The 1080p is right on the edge of being acceptable for me, I can see some pixelation in text but I do sit close to them all day.

It's alright
Overall its a good monitor. Went from a 24" ips asus monitor to this and side by side this 27 has much less of a vibrancy to the colors, which i dont like, but dark areas in games are easier to see. The speakers are decent for if you just need some quick sound. Not much bass to them but are clear sounding otherwise. The vivid pixel thing is complete garbage though just ads a grainyness to the screen that is grating to look at. I'd say get something else if you want warm vibrant color but otherwise it is a solid monitor with clear picture.

Unbeatable monitor for the price
At this price range, this monitor can't be beat. Set up took me minutes, and there are a lot of options to tweak the picture to how you like it. The built in speakers are awesome and help it double down as more than a computer monitor - I use it with my Nintendo Switch and also to watch Netflix. Solid, solid investment as far as monitors in the price range go.Also, as far as monitors go - the design of this one is super sleek. This is the third monitor I'm buying this year, and this one looks by far the best.

A good monitor held back by it menu and limited audio output.
No audio out and display port make this monitor a bit limited on ports, but the really for people who are running more then one input into this device is where things can get annoying. The clunckly menu and buttons make it a annoying process to switch inputs, which I do frequently. I ended up investing in a switch just because of how annoying it was.

Added to complete 3 monitor setup
I bought this monitor, along side a triple monitor mount. To complete a 5760x1080 set up I've have been wanting for years. I already own two of these model. They look great with the slim bezel . These aren't 4k monitors, but still look awesome.

Comes with everything you need to run right away
Came with all cables to set up and use immediately...with some other monitors you need to buy the HDMI cable!
