Excellent scale.
Love this scale so far. I did purchase this item via Amazon a couple weeks ago and wanted to wait until I had it for a couple of weeks before posting a review. I have 10 data sets so far and must say that weight has been remarkably consistent. Within a 1 to 1.5 pounds. It is very important to weigh yourself at a consistent time everyday. I always weigh myself first thing in the morning. My weight ranges so far have been: 144.4-143.6 this morning (May 27th). My body fat % has ranged from 11.1% on my first weigh in to 11.1% today (May 27). The low end of my BF% was 10.7% and high end was 11.6%. So biggest range of BF % has been 1.5%. I cannot speak to the complete accuracy of the scale itself but this particular scale has shown consistent results. Of course there will always be a range within a margin of error. All electronics have some precision ranges so I am happy with that. My bone mass, water % and muscle mass have all been very consistent. Ranges within a 1-2%. I find these results completely acceptable. Again, can't really speak to the actual accuracy of the scale when compared to other more expensive methods of progress monitoring, but I am very happy with the consistency of the results. If one wants a very accurate reading of body fat %, I think one must get a more detailed and expensive check up with a doctor or personal trainer. I use my scale as a guide and progress monitoring tool to look for trends. The scale was very easy for me to set up. go to their website: [...]. Enter product number 0375 and watch the intro video. There you can also find the user manual and the the ranges for weight, BMI, body mass%, muscle mass ranges etc. Also, many have commented on syncing issues. First I downloaded the weight gurus app on my iphone. Set up of the app was easy and did not take long. Then I turned on scale and followed the directions. Worked like a charm. I always make sure the actual weight gurus app is open and I can see the page on my actual phone. Then I step on the scale with my phone while the app is open. It records the data every time with no issues at all. I think the key is to make sure the actual app (weight gurus) is open. After the measurements are recorded, the data is sent directly to my apple health app, which I paired with the weight guru app. To do this I simply opened my apple health app, clicked on the sources icon on the bottom (looks like a heart) next to the health data and dashboard icons and it paired with no problems at all.So overall, I am very happy so far with my scale. I am 45 years old and have recently lost close to 60 pounds (well by recently I mean about a year or so but I did it my way and slowly.....more of a lifestyle change and a shift in my paradigm of thinking when it comes to food, rather than a diet per se). I have gone from 201.8 pounds to well 143.6 as of this morning. My body fat has decreased from about 27% to 11.1% as of this morning. I am very happy with my progress and now I use this scale to keep me on track. Good luck to all. And remember....try not to diet per se but make better choices when it comes to food. This method worked much much better for me!

Easy to use. Easy to read. Simple. Functional.
This scale is easy to use and gives extra useful information. I’m looking to Lose weight and the scale has features that motivate you along the journey. The info it shows is Weight (duh), Body Fat, Muscle Mass, Water Weight and BMI.This is shown on the scale and mirrored plus stored in the App once you link it using Bluetooth. The App will keep track and can be linked to other fitness apps like My Fitness Pal and Apple Health. All you need to do is open the app before stepping on the scale.A “neat” feature is an option to NOT show your weight only your losses or gains as some people may be more motivated by not focusing on the weight. You can set a goal in the App and your progress towards that goal will be shown.I cannot attest to the accuracy of the extra features but I’m sure if you exclusively use the data from it you can measure progress through it.For example, If you are really interested in Muscle Mass you will probably be better off going to a doctor or nutrition center for higher end machines or methods.FYI, the weight limit is 400 lbs.Cons:This are minor. I didn’t like the fact that you have to create an account to use the app. The data may be benign but with all the privacy concerns, there’s that. Also the cost seems to be higher than others but the product quality warrants it as it feels sturdy and elegant.Overall I recommend this scale for simple at-home use. Easy to read and use.

Accurate Scale, Good Value
Before purchasing the Weight Gurus Bluetooth Smart Scale, I checked out reviews and specs of dozens of scales. This one seemed like the safest bet, especially considering the numerous features. With many of the other scales, reviewers repeatedly said the scale was not accurate. For this scale, there were relatively few complaints about accuracy.I have been using this scale daily for about two months now. It is accurate within a pound or two with my doctor's scale, and also accurate when compared tot he scale at the YMCA, and the one at my workplace. The scale measures my weight consistently, with no variation if I step off and then step back on. I have been very impressed with the consistency and accuracy of this scale. My old scale was wildly inaccurate and I have had no issues with the accuracy of Weight Gurus scale. You must download a free app in order to interface the scale to your phone. We currently have the scale linked to both an iPhone and a Galaxy phone with no issues. You can link the scale with up to eight different users, which is probably far more than most households will need. The app runs cleanly and it is easy to use. The graphs are a terrific motivating tool and it would be useful to be able to show a personal trainer, doctor, or friend what kind of progress you are making. Most importantly you can see your results over time for YOURSELF. At the end of the day, seeing the results of your own hard work is the best encouragement to keep going. When you feel like the scale has not moved in "forever" you can simply look at your graph and see that in the last month you have lost "x" amount of weight to demonstrate your success over a longer period.I recommend this scale. For the $60 price tag, I consider it a good value.

Very good for the price, app is not great
Update March 2016: Syncs directly with fitbit now! Was it a huge deal to type it in? Not really, but it's just so convenient. It does randomly fail to sync and I have to turn off and on my fitbit connection in the app on occasion, but seriously that's not a big deal at all. What I really wanted was the Aria scale to sync with my fitbit but they are just so expensive. How important is it to update directly into the fitbit app? Not $100 important. I can use this, it updates to it's own app in my phone, and then I type it into my fitbit account.Accuracy-wise it seems pretty good. It's approximately the same as when I go to the doctor's office. It can vary by a few pounds if you don't put it on a level floor. Setup and syncing to the app on my phone was very simple, but sometimes it doesn't like to sync after I weigh in. I found that if I don't have the app open when I step on the scale it doesn't update. If it doesn't update I have to weigh myself again and sometimes that doesn't work unless I wait a while. Minor inconvenience, but a tad annoying. The app is not very user friendly. I can't click on my last weigh in from the home screen to see the details? Took me several minutes clicking around to figure out that I had to click on the month, then the day. Not a huge deal but it's such a simple thing... overall not a very well designed app. It's very sleek looking and I like that a lot. Accuracy is as good as can be expected for a home scale. App is not great but that's not a huge deal. Overall, this was a great choice for the price compared to the Aria.

Super Smart, Super Easy, Awesome Scale!
Ok, so I have had scales in the past that would tell me my body fat percentage, but this is my first 'smart' scale that has so many features. After doing extensive research on different models, I pulled the trigger on this one and have had no regrets! The scale itself if very thin and will even pass under my bathroom door when it opens, which is super nice since I don't have to worry about the door hitting the scale. As most new scales feature, this has an automatic on when you step onto the scale, so no having to 'tap' the scale first or do anything but step on it just like a normal scale. This may not seem like a big deal, but the convenience is really awesome. The scale will work without any accessories, meaning that you do not have to have the scale connected to your smart phone in order for the scale to work. BUT, I highly recommend that you download the App and pair your phone with this scale. The instructions were good and the pairing process was painless. I was up and running in just a few minutes after entering some basic data about myself.Once paired, open the app and step on the scale. Boom! All the information appears on both the scale and on your phone. This is pretty cool, but what is really nice is that the App will keep track of all that information for you! No more having to write anything down or remember what your readings were last time. The App will automatically keep track of dates you measured as well as all pertinent data. You can see your progress though the history feature on the App and it is really quite cool. This has been a great purchase for me as I try to stay healthy. I can imagine that this would be an indispensable tool for someone who is trying to lose some serious weight though as this takes all effort out of having to worry about tracking your weight/health data. Just grab your phone and go! Just don't forget to have your phone with you when you weigh yourself! As with any product of this nature, the fat percentage readings may vary from this scale to another, but the point is to use the same scale each time. If you do that, you should get a pretty accurate reading of where you are, or at the very least, of where you are headed as you can see how the percentage will increase or decrease depending on lifestyle choices! All in all, I am super happy with this product and hope that it lasts for many years. I highly recommend this for anyone who is looking to lose weight or keep track of their health.
