In a nutshell, when you push the button in his beard, Uncle Si’s beard lights up, a short tune plays, and then Uncle Si will provide a quotation of one of his lines from the Duck Dynasty TV show. Unlike other Duck Dynasty figures, Si Says actually has a pretty wide variety of different quotations.At first, I didn’t like the musical component of Si Says, and my initial annoyance probably would have cost this product something like 2 stars. But now, I rationalize it as, “Uncle Si needs a couple seconds to think.” I was pleased with my own response to this problem, and now I consider the brief tune a necessary part of the overall ritual.The biggest marketed feature of this toy is that you get to ask Si some questions. Ask him literally anything, and he’ll give you an answer. Interestingly enough, Si Says can even be used as a divining tool. Ask Uncle Si a question, push the button, and see what his prediction is. Sometimes the answers require a little interpretation; sometimes they require a lot. If you just can’t wrap your mind around his response, simply try asking him again. (Or you can just keep abusing him until he gives you the answer you want.) Pair it with a good daily horoscope, and you could get a really clear snapshot of what your day might have in store for you.Once the batteries get too low, Uncle Si will clam up. The music will play, but then you don’t get a quote. Eventually as the batteries die even further, even the dumb music gets cut off. When Si Says’ batteries run dry and Uncle Si can go no more, simply open the velcro in back, unscrew the battery tray, replace 3 AAA batteries**, and Uncle Si will be back to his original self. It’s not a difficult screw size; even my Swiss army knife has a Phillips-head screwdriver capable of fitting Si Says. My Si Says came with preinstalled demo batteries that lasted about half a year.**The Product Information is correct—it’s 3 AAA batteries, not 2 AA batteries like the Product Description says. At least mine is the 3 AAA batteries version, if it’s really that much of an issue for you.One feature that I like is the round, flat base. It’s firm, but it’s also not SO rigid, which means that Uncle Si can sit up straight on a wide variety of relatively flat surfaces. He’s also not top-heavy, which means that he can almost always sit on the aforementioned surfaces without tipping over. If he does tip over, it’s because that surface simply doesn’t support his presence.Si Says is easy enough to clean. I just periodically use Lysol wipes. Obviously, don’t put Si Says in the wash machine because the electronics will be destroyed and the structural integrity of the toy itself will be damaged as well.Si Says is easily one of the best pieces of Duck Dynasty merchandise out there. Overall, it’s a fun little thing to junk up the house with, and I find myself pressing the button for a quote a few times every day; and this is long after I would’ve lost interest in my dinosaurs and other toys. If you can find a place in your home for Si Says, grab one.

This item is hilarious! It was a gift for my granddaughter who likes Duck Dynasty. It is well made and works well. I though it was slightly over priced or it would have been 5 stars.

GREAT FOR ANYONE WITH A SENSE OF HUMOR, I HAVE MANY DUCK DYNASTY STUFF AT HOME, THIS ONE IS REALLY COOL, INTRO MUSIC THEN, "HEY" GET READY FOR SOME FUN. DUCK DYNASTY IS THE BEST. THANKS

Funny for the fans. Definitely not worth original price, but a good deal for a few bucks and a few chuckles. Used as gag gift and it was a huge hit.
